If you are in norway you should be able to find a disty for your ej motor. Some of the ej series were available, outside of the us only, with distributors and carbs. Search for posts by monstaru and mattyB for some insight into this.

Yeah its in County Clare. I'm probably spelling this completely wrong, Enistiamon is where she was born. She was originally a Rynne. And I'm pretty sure she has family in Dublin. It's good to talk with somebody who shares the same heritage as I do. And another subaru lover on top of that. On the original topic. I was checking the mail today, and an older gentalman in a 95 outback gave me "the wave" as I was standing by my hatchback. It brought a great joy to my heart to return "the wave" to him as well.

I've done a good bit of research into the complete swap as you are doing. So if you have any questions or anything just hit me up and I'll do my best. [Hi-jack/ON] I also think I have made a breakthrough on "the ultimate sleeper" that I've been compiling reasearch for. More to come later...[Hi-jack/OFF]

Well the problem withthe xt-6/wrx crossmember setup is that it won't work in an ea81 body. You will have to make or have a crossmemebr made to work right. The shift linkage needs to be a couple inches shorter, and have a mount point made up for the rear hanger piece. Here are some good pictures to go by of a full wrx swapped brat. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=478

Looking at my ea81 body hatch, it has a spot where you could bolt in the three point system. But I doubt thats what it was designed for, but who knows.

25 spline to 23 spline
86BRATMAN replied to desert dweller's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
If I'm reading this right, you have a 87 turbo car. And want to use the 23 spline axles. For that to work you'll have to change the transmission. Then simply buy a set of 23 splines from your favorite supplier. I'd recommend MWE the board seems to have had good luck with them. -
newb here with pics.

Us 85+ ea81 guys got all hydro lifters. Now exactly where are you, I know somebody who will pretty much pay what you ask. -
That really sucks man. That was a damn good looking car too. I hate to say it but the insurance company is most likely going to total it, and give you little to nothing for it. Fight with them, tell them you don't want their money you want a replacement of equal condition and value. This will not be easy, because the nada values of our cars are nowhere near what a perfect condition subie will actually sell for. Good luck my friend.

Or if using photobucket. Be logged into both in seperate windows, and copy the IMG code for the particular photo you want posted from your photobucket and paste it in the reply. Thats what I do.

Yes, yes it would... Calculated ET for the weight of a hatch with 200awhp is a 12.8-13.1 but it will vary by track and driver...

What grade of gas are YOU using?
86BRATMAN replied to SmashedGlass's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
My mom was talking about the price of fuel in Ireland on her recent visit. They rented some econo box sedan, and after monetary conversion it took $45US to put the car at half tank... -
Again, thanks for the kind words. Well what I have done for now, is made an adapter harness from my old light plugs and the ones that go to the new light setup. The dedicated high beams aren't functional at this point, because I don't completely trust the wiring designed to run only two lights to handle the load of four. I hope to get that rectified soon with a full GL dash and front wiring swap. I'll give more updates as they come. Some may also be in the retrofiting forum with my engine related plans.

Thanks. I've got some plans for this one, just gotta come up with a name for it... Sounds like a good option, the wife and and I have been talking about getting out of town sometime this summer. Maybe by then it'll have a few more suprises up its slee...under its hood.

Well, I don't know if you remember the pictures of the brat lowered. But the stock mudflaps came about two inch away from the ground on the front. I need to get myself moving though on getting to the junk yard, I need to get the dash wiring from a gl hatchback to put the brat's dash in this thing. I can't take not having a tach... I'd like to see some pics of his hatch, pm them to me when you have a chance

Technically the hood isn't new, but it was in like new condition off the red hatchback carcass. I transfered the cut front springs to the front from my brat, and did the "reclocking" to the rear torsion bars. Trust me it has its rough spots, but nothing really major. Considering I practically stole it for what I paid.

RGuyver did a ej20T from a wrx into an 83 brat. Search for his username. I would say that it would be best to grab the powersteering bits from another ea81 car, the ej rack is just too wide for the ea81 wheelbase.

Well most of you have seen this car before. It use to be owned by GoldDiggerRoo. Here's what it looked like a few months ago. I've had it for about a month or so, and I haven't really done a whole heck of a lot. But it does look a good bit different now. What do you think? And a little bit of new hood... It still has a good bit to go, some rust repair, new passenger door and fender(Getting them ready for paint this week) And a GL dash and wiring swap to better use the headlights and such.

Got the WonderBrumby VERY sideways

Just out of curiosity, why are you doing another one? -

Interesting... It must have been that third turbo slowing it down... -
I think anybody, of either gender, who makes a statement like that should be tested...

In my area the octanes are 87($2.87 currently) low, 89($2.95) mid, and 93($3.03) for high at standard pumps. About a 45 minute drive can get some 110 leaded, or for a trip to the county airport, with some gas cans, you can get 100 low lead for about $4 a gallon. -
For those in rust free lands:

I hate these pictures. And these are just a few of the bad areas. Pass side frame support and floor board hole. Driver's side hole and frame This is where the torsion tube should mount on the passenger's side a couple body shots.
