  1. Impact gun should take care of the cam gear bolts. I've done that countless times pulling these things apart.
  2. I'll do my best to remember to get these measurements and some extra pictures for you this evening. I snapped those real quick as we were going out the door for dinner last night. I'll get as much detail as possible for you.
  3. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/137829-using-a-non-egr-engine-in-subaru-with-egr-exhaust-gas-recirculation-valve/ This thread.
  4. find you an egr equipped intake manifold, swap it on, and read the usrm thread about tricking the ecu, I would link it but I'm on my phone at the moment
  5. He was going to use ea81t heads. The injectors would have mounted just like stock. If you want to see a picture I'll try to remember to snap a few when I get home. Side note, I may have asked this before but 84gl, where in southwest VA are you?
  6. sounds like a 99 ej25d to me, just double check your main bearing clearances and everything should be fine.
  7. simple answer to your question is an xt6 trans, it's already a 3.90 ratio and you can wire up the center diff lock and it will function like your push button 4wd does now when you need it to
  8. You can open up the headlights yourself and paint them, just don't paint the reflection area.
  9. Lets address the elephant in the room. How do you drive, what type of roads do you travel, do you keep a check on the tire pressures, regular rotations? These are the life of the tires. I don't care what kind of tires you end up buying this time, If its driving/ maintanence habits that are causing the tires to wear down abnormally then the replacement are going to do the same thing.
  10. No they won't work without some major work. And thankfully I've never seen halo lights for the legacy line, I'd probably vomit.
  11. Put me down for a pair, I only need mine for the rear.
  12. Sounds exactly how a lot of newer vehicles operate. 05 Lexus IS300 my friend's mother owns did the same thing when one of the o2 sensors went down on it.
  13. Well I guess the title pretty well sums it up. Part numbers show different, but can I use gen2 fog lights assemblies in my 97 sus clone?
  14. I never knew that the auto seat belts were required by law, I'm sure I've seen other cars from that era that didn't have them.
  15. that's a damn nice looking XT man
  16. Did you bring up the fact that you had the engine swap done? Thats pretty much the only way he should have known the difference. Unless he is a subaru buff.
  17. That is untrue. You want the gasket to match the bores. There is a reason all the ej22t dohc hybrid builds run ej22 head gaskets.
  18. $10 bucks on the passeger side timing belt being wrong.
  19. as light as that thing is it would smoke a brz with an ej22
  20. high mileage diesels would be the 50mpg+ diesel engine cars that almost everywhere in the world gets but here, all we ready get are diesel pickup trucks.
