  1. do you still have the tcu plugged in, or does that even apply to the 3at
  2. just so there is no misunderstanding, the OP is on the east end of the country, 90s loyales are not a common item by a long shot over here.
  3. Yes it does, the c/v angles will still be quite harsh on the components.
  4. Sounds like the rear diff was probably rebuilt thinking that would cure the torque bind the tranny has, and when it didn't fix it the driveshaft was removed again. I've pulled the driveshaft to trade off a gen1 legacy with torque bind before without it being noticed. I wouldn't give more than 500 for it definately. Because even if I'm wrong in assuming torque bind to begin with, its most likely got it now due to the d/s being gone.
  5. The 84 turbo wagon I parted out years ago did not have power mirrors, but one that was in the junkyard about the same time did. Check your wiring is the best way to tell.
  6. Common problem on some of the newer ford cars. We stock the brake light switches at work, sell at least 3 a month.
  7. If you have a smartphone, use the photobucket app to post photo links.
  8. Another thing to consider is the age of the rubber lines. Check them out for signs of fatigue. I had to do them on my mk2 supra back over the summer.
  9. just out of curiosity, where on the block does the element live? I found the plug in for the heater a few weeks back when I was putting a headlamp bulb in my 97 legacy just never traced it anywhere.
  10. what are those wheels from, they look really nice on there, congrats man
  11. either way you've stated works, I'm not sure about 2wd struts dropping it that much. I got 2 out of 2wd with a coil cut off. plenty of info on here tho, just search it up, some of my old treads have some info there too
  12. I've also seen the front speed sensor or the one in the guage cluster cause the car to not have awd if its an automatic trans.
  13. Use the sensors off of the outback, I've done a 91 into 95, both ej22's. The problem you're going to face is the egr system, as its non-existant on the 92.
  14. I realize I haven't read everything there is on lifting a subaru, but I've never seen anything that says it makes the wheelbase narrower.
  15. I have been using vvme.com for my HID's for about 3-4 years. I ran the 55w once, and the bulb burnt out in one of the within 5 months. The 35w kit I have in my supra has been there since early 09 with no problems.
  16. The bellhousing you need is the one from the ea81 bodystyle ea71 motors. If tht made any sense.
  17. at 26 years old, I'd blame the washer pump first, replace it first and go from there
  18. seems like subarus have been a target lately, there was a guy on legacy central that had his stolen, recovered, and stolen again before the tow truck arrived. Zap's son's impreza, and now yours. I hope she makes a safe return, I feel for you.
  19. Looks like a nice Brat you have there, I've actually got a seat with that pattern in storage. Can't remember right now if its drivers or passengers.

    Ea81

Following his other threads its an 88 gl hatchback, ea81 car.
  21. Dealers around here would never do something like that. Sounds like something one of the backwoods shops would do.
  22. miata shocks can fit ea81 cars as well
  23. yes, they will work, but spring rate will make for an old ride as the front springs will be substantially higher than the rear torsion bars. A work around for this is to purchase miata front shocks, and ea82 top hats for the rear, declock the torsion bars and let the springs do the work.
