  1. Most shops are competent enough to do an alignment right. It sound like all that they would need to do is to adjust the toe.
  2. You'd probably have traction issues in third gear... But if you are easy with the throttle it wouldn't be too bad at all.
  3. I'd have one of those quentesential redneck mansions. You know, double wide with a 20 car garage....
  4. A wise man once told me. "never make your hobby into your profession, because when you do that you will no longer look forward to doing it"
  5. Patience and dedication. And throw in some moeny too...
  6. I'm quite sure it would work. Its similar to what I was speaking of. Except the 95 would fit the maf correctly withough having to change the box.
  7. It isn't exactly a cheap solution. But the spt shifter is about $240, and then you still need the boss that goes on the tranny's shaft.
  8. If rocky was completely yellow, there would be enough power there for all three. If all three were yellow...... Daytona 500 What!!!
  9. I haven't stepped out of my house yet. Getting ready to though. I'll report back later on. Stop rushing me, you're acting like a wongleflute....
  10. You can order the boss part for a wrx, and get the spt short throw along with it. Thats the usual replacement route.
  11. You're talking about the big box that sits right on the throttle body, right? If thats it couldn't you fit an early legacy air intake to it, and eliminate the chamber?
  12. Maybe a few to your center diff, but only when you are in neutral.
  13. Yes, I mean no offense by the yellow remarks. I like the color quite a bit. I just enjoy picking around.
  14. I'm not ashamed to get shown up by a girl. At least not a girl who is a friend...
  15. xcceleration is pretty good. One of the locals has had all his work to his 04 STi done there. But I just don't see the need to pay another person for labor when I can do something myself. Here's ya a few more places to look through. www.cobbtuning.com www.boxer4racing.com Oh and for off road use only is a disclaimer they must put on illegal parts so they can legally sell them.
  16. It tells the computer what temp your coolant is at. Which in turn the ecu corrects fuel enrichment to suit the conditons.
  17. Yep, they use the same engine, ej257. Different intercooler, turbo and ecu tune. You can make just as much power as an STi.
  18. Four screws. And probably have to take off your p/s pump. But Mike made a very good point, check out the coolant temp sensor before tinkering with the iac
  19. LoL, sorry... Its on the very front of the intake manifold. Disregard the writing on the pic, it is from General Disorder's spfi conversion write-up.
  20. Don't bother with that size exhaust for a turbo car. 3" is the best way to go. What, at this point, would you say your power goals would be
  21. The goldish looking cylender on the driver's side strut tower is the fuel filter. For the iac(idle air control) valve, remove it, two or three bolts, and shoot it with carb/air intake cleaner. Let it dry out and reinstall.
