How did I manage this?

holy hell.... -
Most likely you need a new cam sensor, yo said before it took a hit during the process. and the code definately leads to think it is bad. Check the j/ys and see what you can find there first, unless you have a spare yourself. Not a hard job to replace, on 10mm bolt and it slides out. It'll be cake compared to what you've done already with the car.

Steering conditions are all in what you get use to. I had some time to bond with my hatch and the mountain today. I no longer consider it a non handling pos. I had a 2.0SER sentra hating me through the twisties...

Bucky I Believe I have Your car

Hey, its no problem. I found my next car on the same trip. Whenever you get ready let me know, stuff like this pops up frequently around here because of the rust. I'll keep my eyes on the papers. If one comes up that I can get cheap enough I might make a donation. -

I don't like it. It's different, but in a police car kinda way. -

Connie. I took me a drive today. I found something interesting I thought I'd mention. 86-87 d/r4wd wagon. $250. If you wanted it, I can pick it up and strip off everything you need and meet you somewhere with the parts Bucky needs to be swapped. -
Before we have the guy throw more moeny at his car that he might want or need to. Lets employ K.I.S.S. Go out and buy a couple cans of heavy duty engine degreaser. Let your engine cool off, spray in down with degreaser, being careful around the disty and electrical connections so as not to cause further problem. Let it sit on that cold engine so it can have time to eat away at the gunk built up. Grab a couple plastic bags, for disty alternator and such. Go to a car wash, and spray it off. Avoid the high pressure spray as much as you car, but if the grime is stubborn let it have it. You need to get the motor top and bottom as keep as you possibly can. Fill it with oil and drive home. Find the oil wet spots on the motor and go from there.

No, don't take what I said that way. I was direction that to 75subie. Where he had said bout the motor and stuff not lasting long. The things replaced mean that the drivetrain aspect will be safe for some time to come, with proper upkeep of course. The main thing it comes down to. For your negociating, the dealer ship will try to use those new parts to make it worth more. You must use those parts as an example that the car wasn't properly cared for by the PO, and therefore because of said abuse is not worth what they want.

I like to counteract humor with seriousness sometimes, lol.

I really don't think that was an option. But it could be accomplished with a wheel spacer and another wagon wheel turned backwards and bolted on.

Check around the oil filter and drain plug too just to be sure. But it sounds like you've got something major going on there... How does the clutch feel. If it is leaking that bad from the rear main it would almost certainly get thrown onto the clutch.

www.radiatorbarn.com has them for right around $115 shipped For the ea81. If yours is questionable I wouldn't bother messing with it, when it will be going out anyways.
