people put sti/wrx heads on those blocks. your answers have been covered many times over at the more impreza oriented sites. not that this isn't a good place to ask or talk about this. but you will get more answers and experience at I-club, Nasioc or RS25.

inquiring minds want to know

and it depends on how much boost you are running. with high boost you "can" put a lot of stress on a turbo with nothing.
-
there's a resistor you can put in it's place. do a search for the rating of the resistor.

they do 5mt swaps into EG33 cars all the time. I'm not sure how this would be too different. (but I already had a little crow in this thread so go easy on me.)

too bad we didn't think to buy some extra gas up last year when it was 2.29... was that really just last year?? (counts back on fingers) yeah.. it was. :-\

we're both right... it's just the internals that are shared by the trannys and they Are made by nissan..
-
pretty sure that's how I read it on the svx forums.. but that was 3 years or more ago.

I used some "weldit" (generic JB type crap)on a log manifold in a mitsubishi....... worked fine.
-
thanks that's what I wanted to know.. I saw someone running a DSM CAS on another engine for MS-n-spark and it worked fine... my engine will be here end of the month. I wanted to know if I had cam acces on the back of the head! I may have to weld tabs and that's all good!
-
like does a Phase II EJ25 have the cam cover/slot for a distributor? I am not wanting to use a distributor but a CAS for a DSM for megasuirt and spark.
-

kind of makes me wonder if it will fit under an xt hood. I have a 2.5 coming. it could be sweet to just drop it in with little to no wiring.

the people I have had good experiences with I hear horror stories about. working at a gas station you hear alot of stuff and see alot of cars.. in the past month or so I have fixed a half dozen silly little problems for people and got them back on their merry way. from changing a tire for a college girl to bending the prongs on a broken cam sensor wire for a mid forties gentleman to hole him over till he got a new connector. (he was trying to hold it on with rubber bands) I am amazed all the time by how little people know about the thing they depend on daily.. and I am NOTHING compared to most of you on this site and the XT board. (some of y'all are brilliant) If I wasn't in college and working full time I'd take on some shade tree stuff. people are getting ripped by shops daily. -
good luck I drove a subaru I had only seen a couple of pics home 2000 miles. I made it home without a hitch. but I found my seat coming through the floor a few days later.. just take it slow and easy.
-
Can this be fixed? (Picture link added)

I have seen that 05+ legacy stuff has been used with a 5-lug swap.. the slip-overs aren't as bad as everyone says they are (ground controls are pretty dern nice) the problem is typically people use these really heavily sprung kits, with old, blown struts. (look also for a kit with helper springs spring within a spring)
