  1. you fix that with a nice custom fuel rail with (more) equal length runners. I am noticing all the new headers for EJs are the equal length no boxer rumble type. thumbs way down...
  2. nice read great project!
  3. they really don't make any new "hatch patrol" candidates anymore do they? it would be really sweet if they built a coupe sedan and wagon again that are like the old ea82s of course updated and such. but "trailable" Subaru has forgotten the jeep-killer apeal of old subys!
  4. if it had a proper bumper and the center section molded up to match the tails it would look sweet.
  5. I had to adjust the pedal on my Starion after changing the clutch. if it was really worn down and you put in a new one then that's what the effect would be without adjustment no able to put it in gear. (or really hard to)
  6. I agree at feeling good. but I also have a soft spot for Imprezas and EJ turbos. to me I think it's be cool to get all you can out of the EA82t. but I really wouldn't call it worth spending too much money on. people said the same thing about 240sx truck motor KA24s as well but it turned out that those had just as much if not more capability my bottom line. I am buying an EJ25 SOHC 170 some odd HP motor for 250 when you get the EA82 to 170 crank HP dependably tell me how much it cost you. I am guessing 500 bucks spent on the swap (if I keep it FWD probably won't) then I mod it.
  7. the coupe is like the RX and like Caboobaru's rx clone a hatch is the other hatch looking creature. Coupe hatch
  8. that makes for an easier install but the exhaust side of these sure is small in my honest opinion mitsu turbos are inexpensive (thanks to DSM tuners) and come in all sizes and flow rates. I think a 12A from a Starion/conquest would be a good upgrade, and since most of those guys are upgrading..... they are cheap........
  9. I have often wanted to paint my Mitsubishi Starion like a land verion of a ZERO......... I like the USMB one best out of your choices!
  10. hmm now I have to go count the turns on my xt DL........ BRB. 4.8!!!!!!!
  11. word...... no need to part out a good running forester even if it is tired.....
  12. if I could get a sedan with that bumper I'd rock it hard. your widebody looks pimpalicious!
  13. My original post should have read "the beam acts as a sway bar?" I see where I goofed... I stated as fact when I meant to ask a question my bad!
  14. just that an engine makes more power slightly leaned out. as opposed to pig rich.. it's just another way to trick an ECU. (I agree with you... being alittle leaner or richer shouldn't be enough to rip engine mounts) 88-ish camry owners report nice gains from a few clicks but it's all rump roast-dyno gains
  15. then it isn't a torsion beam suspension. it's an independant rear suspension. if you have your terms wrong to start with how can you expect a good answer. (see I can be an rump roast too. and I went out on a limb for that I really thought when you all said torsion beam it was an actual torsion beam suspension) does it have springs, too? or dio the bars act as the springs?
  16. when you get it working I want pics of it in various states as I have never seen one working,, (I think my uncle's Junkyard has one but I haven;t really checked)
  17. I know it works for old toyotas. and the flapper maf is very similar inside... I know all you would be doing would be changing the spring tension increasing tension would make the door harder to open leading to reading it as less air. leaning things out. and the opposite should also be true taking tension away would richen the mixture. but does it work enough to be worth doing?? I am going to search more but flapper maf mostly leads to posts about not worth it to drive that far for a flapper maf turbo car, lol
