I love the wheels Subyrally which ones are they?
-
subscribed and if going full time I don't need any wiring corect? just make stuff bolt up? oh, and what about a one piece drive shaft? is there a good reason not to go one-piece? (I won't be lifting this car) oh and sorry for the highjack! but I am on topic still, yes?

Is there a demand for bolt pattern adaptors?

wow... bumparu yes I know it's not a word.... but it's a subaru bump. if I get this DL I will need some adaptation down the road. I am not sure why everyone wants the 5 lug.... 4X100 as a request as they make almost every wheel in that size. but yeah bump cause we need these to be available! -

I'm glad I had already decided not to do it.. my coworker picked this week last minute for her vacation. it's been 7 days straight so far.. I'm calling my dad's gas station the "s-hell" this week.. lol.. I swear I'll be there next year with an alcyone in tow.. wild horses (or crazy horses for that matter) won't keep me from it next year -

cannot wait to see how it turns out. -
damn GD maybe you should go work for MS cuz I'm sold!!
-
guess I'm going to have to give in and learn about MS... was really hoping that wouldn't have to happen, lol. I'm good at mechanicals.. not wiring.. and I have no clue if I can even program MS.. it's like teaching an old dog.. ya know?

with a disty I could just use the ea82t ecu. I've sen many higher power motors go in lower power cars and use the same ECu. I'd have to upgrade my fuel pump and FPR. with a disty I can runa ej22t and keep my digi dash and all. only real thing i think would be a problem would be that I believe the ea82t uses the disty for cam reference. but I've also seen vehicles (on OBDII) run with no cam sensor. unless the wiring really easy.. I would never drive the car again, lol...
-
okay found that... I could actually put in an Ej that way... hmm. all the post relate to distys and carbs though, but I don't see any reason an Ej with disty couldn't work in my XT with very little wiring.
-
what does it bolt too? the back of the head..?? I'm searchinf ord escort disty right now! but if you know i'd like to hear that too!
-
nah I bought the XT for it being an XT.. I may buy the ea81t vehicle for a donor!! I thought I knew where one was but it turned out to be a 1600 NA, lol..
-
okay I was sure I saw that ea81t was spfi... thanks for the correction. so EA81T would almost be a direct bolt in.. add mt t3/t4.. and some coolling and it's a party!! most folks wouldn't even know the ea81 was a swap. (not at the races anyway!!)
-
okay so I'm listening to some advice.. and have almost decided to hunt down the ea81T curious will the ea82 heads work here? I'd like to use that block and have MPFI. or are the heads what makes the 82 suck? also how hard is an mpfi conversion to spfi?? the injector for spfi is almost always on am I correct? and probably increases out -put with revolution? got to be simpler than wiring in an EJ not too fond of the idea of making DIS sytem work in a distributer car...
-
wish Ejs used distributers.. bah... I could make it work easy that way
-
that's a little scary, lol!!
