  1. Hmmm, with both my turbo specific manuals an hour and a half away from school, I won't be able to help you for a while. Next weekend I can help you though.
  2. Are these five little wires near the coil? I assume if they are that they go to the positive and negative poles on the coil. I don't have my manuals with me, but the answer would be in there for sure.
  3. I notice that a lot of members have been receiving responses from KYB saying that they will not carry performance struts for our cars. I however did not get a response. I asked them to build performance 2WD struts, which would not have the adjustable spring pearch. These struts would also lower our cars (as opposed to 4WD struts). Maybe if we petition them to build those, we can get somewhere instead of them saying they just can't do it. Just a thought, but let me know what you think.
  4. Yes, there are! You will need to mount the brackets for them (Either weld them on or install a set of control arms that already have them). Any EA82T or XT6 will have bars that will be upgrades front and rear. Do a search for a spring chart and you can see which car has the most desierable set.
  5. The turbo from an EA82 will be a slight upgrade with the added benefit of already having a water cooled center section and a tiny bump in efficency.
  6. Thats how mine went out. I swapped in a 5 speed dr tranny and couldn't be happier! This car is pretty quick with a proper transmission.
  7. Just finished the swap on my wagon. Holy cow, is this what modern brakes feel like?!? The new brakes are WAY better than drums, I highly suggest doing this conversion!
  8. Isn't that the ratio of an EA71 4WD rear diff? IIRC the front and rear ratios were different.
  9. In my EA81T wagon I got up to 105mph on a flat with stock everything except the tranny.
  10. Check ebay stores, thats where I picked up mine. I'll find the name of the store I ordered my stuff from and post it up here later.
  11. I bought the tubing pre-bent off an ebay store and had it shipped to Oregon for assembly.
  12. Aaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! That header looks SICK!!! I'm so stoked, thank you sooo much! I can't wait to get this little guy installed and.... MAN I'M EXCITED!
  13. I'd say the same thing! Granted, I still haven't messed with my car much, but I've never hit anything like a fuel cut. But thats all about to change!!!
  14. Really not wanting to go down that path. I just want plug and play. Guess its time for some investigating of my own.
  15. Anyone found bleeders for rear disc calipers yet? I'm about to install a set and having speedier bleeders would be awesome.
  16. Yeah, Jackman made a bunch of stuff for old subarus, wheels, lifts, brushguards, etc.
  17. I autox with my old man in his WRX and we don't do too shabby either!
  18. Custom long arm independent suspension?
  19. Wow, you were soooo close to finding the "treasure box" for this question!! Just one forum up! Heres all the info you'll ever need: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=24980
  20. Lies and blasphemy!!! I was invited by Bryan to last years event in my EA series. It was awesome to watch all the new gen guys ooogleing over my 3rd eye and spare tire! Gave 'em a taste of the old school! I'll be there again this year!
  21. I know the column that SCC used to put out. I have a more in depth article on the RX that I'll dig up next week.
  22. Looks good, how did you mount it to the car?
  23. I have a whole heap of articles I gathered last year, but I just haven't had time to scan them yet. Maybe during spring break, but by summer at the latest.
