  1. Don't mean to burst your bubble, but that is not a skid plate. Its a splash sheild, keeps water and crup from flying up into your engine bay, and it will do nothing for rocks and large, hard things like that because it is made of plastic. If you tend park over curbs and scrape it, then that could mess it up.
  2. I've never heard of an Outback XT. Also I don't think any of the new subes' turbos spool at anything less than 2400 rpm. My 84 turbo wagon starts spooling at 1200 rpm!
  3. Hey, Zap or Corky, what times are you guys heading out from the homesteads on Saturday? I was sondering if the family and I could tag along behind either of you two.
  4. The wagon has that huge cargo area that can flex, the coupe has the rear hatch and such to stiffen it up.
  5. I've go a turbo supplement if you want me to look anything up. http://usmb.net/gallery/album114/IMG_0982 http://usmb.net/gallery/album114/IMG_0983 Plus this one's one ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6762&item=7936602101&rd=1
  6. My dad has a set of regular chains for the front of his WRX sedan. I don't think we've ever had to use them though. He doesn't like his one season tires on snow though!
  7. How and what would I need to tap into, ie, what wires and where do they terminate? Thanks for your help on this Will, because I'm lost!
  8. So I have the the 5 speed swapped into my wagon, and when I try to use the cruise control, the main switch lights up, but when I try to set the speed, nothing happens. Is this because I took out the 3EAT auto and replaced it with the five speed, or are the cables and such just not adjusted? Could also be that the vaccum stuff isn't hooked up, but with the turbo making positive pressure that would make me think it wasn't the vaccum thing. Please help, I like cruise control!
  9. Ken, got any tree permits left? If not, who/where do I got to get one?
  10. Boy, that car sure does seem cobbled together! Lots of rusty stuff too.
  11. They tend to rust out behind the upper rear shock mounts, so be sure to spray any gunk out of there.
  12. Oh, I forgot to mention, Irish drinking songs and folk music! Can't beat it!
  13. What code number is it? I can look it up in my FSM.
  14. Dude, supras had stright sixes. Just thought I'd let you know.
  15. Pull the coil wire, then just crank the engine over a few times. That should do it.
  16. Why? The fab work wouldn't be too hard, but you would loose a lot of the towing torque the Ford has. Also the wiring would probably kill almost anyone!
  17. Kumho or something else cheap. Go to thttp://www.tirerack.com and search for tires in the size you want.
  18. First sube I ever wanted was an EA82T wagon with the pushbutton 4WD. Then My friend got this car (The green wagon): Then I discovered this message board and became obsessed with EA81s and found my turbo wagon (The red one) at a towing auction. The rest is history!
  19. If they cost substantially less than the turbo hearder and DP and they actually fit without modifications, I would consider putting one on my offroad hatch.
  20. I'm collecting a stash of magazines right now. You should see them on the board within two weeks or so with many more to come soon after.
