  1. After reading your post, it reminded me of a Sport Compact Car article. They had a project WRX and they described some of the same wandering you are talking about. Turned out their front wheel bearings were toast. Just a thought!
  2. Yeah, I found that website awhile ago. Also one about adding more camber adjustment to your car, but I can't seem to find that right now! Arrgh!
  3. Thats what I'm doing to my turbo wagon. Need to lower the rear, but I have to get someone to clock the torsion bar...
  4. My 84 turbo wagon has that same finger guard above the mech fan. I didn't even know there was a shroud avalible! Crap, now I have to find one of those!
  5. Ok, now the question I really want answered. What will these to the front of an EA81? I know RX springs will raise the front about 1", so the XT springs will take away that one inch, then lower it 3/4 of an inch below the stock height? Probably the net gain on my car will be less because it is on a turbo wagon and they're lower already. Would I be able to use EA82 struts on my EA81?
  6. If I wanted to lower an EA82, which springs and dampers would I use? I seem to remember that XT springs and struts would lower an EA82, but how much?
  7. Will those RX springs (EA82 I assume) fit on the EA81 strut? Also, Mick I got your check today so I'll ship out the lens tomorrow.
  8. Now that I think about it, EA82 springs probably aren't interchangeable with EA81s. Different strut tops.
  9. Found it. For those who are interested in this table its here: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=12566&highlight=spring+rates
  10. What about sizes for the rest of the EA82s? It would be cool to have a list of diameters so one could tune their car with different size bars!
  11. Are the front rotors on an EA82 larger than on a vented EA81? If they are, would the larger caliper and rotor bolt onto the EA81 hub? Second, could someone find the specs for 2WD EA81 front springs and shocks as well as the same info for EA82 front springs if they are interchangeable?
  12. Which EA82 had the largest rear sway bar? I think its the XT6 or turbo wagon, but I'm not sure.
  13. Sorry, I resroted the pics last night. hers the new link: http://usmb.net/gallery/album216?page=2The cool thing about these wheels is that they are SO DAMN 80'S!!! These will be a complete set for sure! GD, how long ago was this? Would you be able to hook me up?
  14. I think they are COOL! I know one other set exists, so might have to pester the owner of that set.
  15. I found three of these wheels on an early EA81 wagon in a yard today! Too bad its not a complete set! They are DAMN light however, so I will look into getting the cracks fixed and find a fourth wheel. pics can be seen here: http://usmb.net/gallery/album217
  16. I want to adjust my drums and do some tests then slap on the discs and do some more tests. Then I'll post here. When ever that'll be, gotta get my engine rebuilt first!
  17. That is bitchen'!!!! If I had the will power, That would already be on a cargo ship on its way here! Too bad I don't have the money...
  18. The locking switch activates the center diff, not the rear. The rear diff with those tranny tends to be a LSD, not a selectable diff.
  19. So what would you recomend we use? If armoral is bad, I want to know what I should be using instead.
  20. Head hung low, while digging in the dirt with the toe of his shoe, our hero quietly mutters: "I was kinda partial to the factory blue..."
  21. Kumho Venture MTs are around $70 and last for a long time.
  22. NO NO NO NO!!! The most important thing you can do is to see if the front and rear diffs are the same. If they are, then we can put LSDs in the tranny and have an STi style drivetrain!
