  1. I think I have pics of someone's setup some where... Let me poke around and Ill get back to ya'll
  2. Subimech85, if you look at the background, that car is NOT in a yard. Id bet those are his tools!
  3. Yes, 2WD springs are lower than 4WD for obvious reasons.
  4. Sell your XT turbo and buy an XT6. Much, much, much easier than a swap.
  5. Might look for a narrow axle like one from a Samuri or carolla. Those cars are about the same size so they could handle the load. What are you going to do with the rear suspension?
  6. Corky, the one in LA IS an unlimited budget, but for the last couple of years it has been well rounded cars with quality engeneering and good drivers that have won. I think that if you modded your project to be the next level of proformance from where its headed right now, you 'd have a competitive car. The only trouble with that competition is that the readers of the mag vote 10 cars in so youd have to wow some people. I think it'd be cool if you did either of the comps.
  7. Corky, you could build a car for Sport Compact Car's Ultimate Street Car Challange. Thy're in LA
  8. Awesome! I remember reading about the XT turbo last year and I was really disappointed! Its like they hardly prepped the car at all! At least you guys DID something to this car besides NOS!
  9. Sweet! I really like that hood scoop on the EA81s! Are you going to put a bumper back on?
  10. Just checking because a lot of you EA82T guys are buying them too, so I just wanted to check.
  11. Will the DP fit on the EA81T chassis? Don't remember if anyone has said definitivly.
  12. GeneralDisorder, all I can say is don't knock it until you've tried it!
  13. Early 90s would be the date they started going into production. Sorry I can't be more specific. The US spec EJ22 was never turbo'd, but a limited edition (22B) was sold in japan with a turbo EJ22, but it wasn't the same engine we got here. No problems I can think of, just remember to check the timing belts!
  14. My Brat has a bulge in one of the tires and it has a shakey/wiggley steering wheel. Might check your tires.
  15. D/R, theres no way around it dude, its just that much better!
  16. Google, man's best friend! http://www.phantomgrip.com/product_lists.php?make=Subaru This is probably what you need. Read more about how it works, its pretty interesting! GREEN SPRING UPGRADE NOT AVAL. FOR HITACHI R160!!!
  17. Ya wanna work that magic on my wagon? Need to find a place to get my engine rebuilt. Smart service gets new shortblocks and reman heads and CCR hasn't returned may of my emails, and I KNOW they're back from vacation already!
  18. Too cold and dark! I'll look tomorrow afternoon.
  19. 82 brat gl 1800. Anyone know if it has a hitachi or c/w?
  20. I think the gen 1 brat is like 2045 or 2145, I can't remember.
  21. I'm the same way about beating on my cars. Look for another post about dropping an EA82T into a gen one brat. That post has some info on the 5spd tranny into that body.
  22. I can't tell you why the idiot lights are on, but the excessive noise might be bad alternator bearings. I really have no idea, but thought I'd give it a stab.
  23. I've asked Jerry about gen 1's before and he said he's working on a kit for them too.
