  1. check the VIN on the car in the first pic. dont think its 91. Legacy777 should be able to settle this. the tail light pics are correct. The pics of the 92 car is what I know to be true, but the first pic is a 93-94 car and the first tail light pic is a 91 car. But will you agree with me and Qman that the engines are the same for all years?
  2. Car_freak85@hotmail.com JF2AT53B1CE507021 Thanks a bunch!
  3. Do it sidewayz, the 91 and 92 cars all have the same front ends (lights, grills, turnsignals). The 92 has differnet tail lights from the 91s. The front end was changed in 93 to the better lights, etc. The tail lights changed again. The front end stayed the same for 94 but the tail lights changed again. So there are two different models of BF legacys. the 91-92 and the 93-94s. Trust me, I know this stuff.
  4. Your guys mileage SUCKS!!! I have a VERY thirsty V8 in a 3600# car along with my lead foot and I can still break 18 mpg easy driving like I stole it! My dad drives a little more conservitive in his WRX and he gets 24 or better.
  5. Do it sidewayz, you have some incorrect info... LSD was standard in 91, very rare option on later years. All years had closed deck, oil squirters, forged internals. No differences in motors between years. (why would Subaru do this for only one year?) No wonder the part numbers are the same, THE PARTS ARE THE SAME!!!
  6. I talked to the TWE guy who is on the board and he said that they are not quite equal length, but really darn close. Also, if one pipe it 2x longer than the other, it would have the same effect as an equal lenth pipe.
  7. Most turbo cars make more HP and TQ than their NA counterparts. 2.5RS vs WRX, EVO vs Lancer the list continues.
  8. Where did you get that RPM number? I read it peaked at 2000rpm here.
  9. I guess Id be in for both a DP and header. When could we expect them to be ready?
  10. They MUST be 1 1/2"!!!! You EA82T guys get everything your way! Give us some parts designed for our cars!
  11. Also, if these go into production will they have the 2 1/2" primaries you spoke of? Not all of us have ball bearing turbos ya know...
  12. Anyone have a Carfax or NADA account I can use?
  13. In order of effect/improvement/bang for buck: 5 speed tranny swap Turbo back exhaust Crossover pipe WRX or Legacy turbo charger Intake system mods boost controller valvetrain mods (Raise redline) everything from here on gets cost prohibitive
  14. Try delrin, can't go wrong with self lubrication!!! :D I used it to make shifter bushings and it is wonderful stuff! pretty hard but not rock solid.
  15. Did you know that catalytic converters use platinum as part of the catalyst? That crud is more valuable than gold!!! Although it would need to be treated because of the toxic engine gases.
  16. I would tend to think the vacuum system would work better regardless of tranny used because it gets signal from the engine, not from a cable from the tranny. I drove my turbo wagon once and it only had two gears so I didn't use the CC.
  17. Could you make some replacement panels for me? simple stuff nothing to the degree you did on your car. Ill pm you.
  18. Heres the article So I was wrong on the 4.11 part AND the 3.90 part!!!
  19. I'm pretty sure that in gen 1 4WD cars the front diff and the rear diff had different ratios. I remember reading that Subaru didn't manufacture any rear diffs so they bought them from Datsun and had to use a multiplyer gear for 4WD to get the ratios to match. This would explain why some beleive Gen 1's have 4.11 (front) and 3.90 (rear) gearing. I think that a 3.90 rear will work, but I'll have to take a look at Ben's brat.
  20. Would the ring gears from a gen 1 brat fit in a EA82 diff?
