  1. I was in a hurry and didnt really feel like all that dribble. the turbo heads are a no brainer because THEY ALL HAD AUTOS! I guess I just neglected to mention the stick part. The valves would be a few mm's larger, I think. Don't hold me to that...
  2. Anything that was had an auto attached to it or after 85-86. These motors will all have hydrolic lifters and thus, bigger valves.
  3. Where besides CCR can I get rebuilt engines?
  4. Try taking one of your lugnuts off and setting it on the seat of the wheel. They fit on my enkeis...
  5. The firing order is correct, and it is hard to start at any timing setting (Dad and I tried a bunch). Not sure about the knock sensor, but I am sure the engine wouldn't run this bad with it unplugged, but I dont think I ever unplugged it.
  6. Pretty sure my baby has a knocking rod. painful sound everytime she turns over! How can I tell for sure? (Im 90% sure) Any links to good discriptions?
  7. Get these!!! Im gonna get some if the wagon ever moves under its own power...
  8. Buy not having the hose rubbing on that protrusion or touching a hot engine.
  9. I know the Intake housing would have to be rotated, but it would also make the setup mor reliable. I say rotate it and use a homemade custom mount for the wastegate.
  10. I meant if the turbo could be rotated, then a custom hose might be needed. what exactly about the wastegate makes the turbo not able to be rotated?
  11. I was just thinking, to avoid the intercooler to turbo hose from contacting the engine stuff, why not just align the turbo differently? Just a thought, however a custom hose may be necessary...
  12. Ben, don't we both have a set of those wheels?!?!?
  13. NO, its not running yet, but it is sputtering a tiny bit! Im also getting only 2 codes now instead of 4!!! Need a test ECU!!!
  14. turns out the front plug on the ECU was plugged in, but the rear one wasnt. God, I hate it when stuff like that happens!
  15. Im following the FSM's trouble shooting tree. I think its best to work front to back.
  16. 1984 turbo wagon, where is the fuel pump relay located? Need to check it as per the FSM trouble shooting tree.
  17. Glad you all are enjoying your cars!!! My little turbo refuses to stay in running condition for more than a few weeks at a time! The strange thing is that despite her constant complaints and refusal to do anything she's supposed to, Ill never get rid of her! No way, no how! Need to do some work on the fuel system electronics to get her working or have her towed to a shop to do some diagnostic work because its driving me out of my mind. Shes my baby!
  18. Last time it started was about a month ago, then it started having these problems, so I started working on it. It has plenty of gas in the tank. Ill see if the disty is off at all, but I dont think it is.
  19. OK, I checked TDC on the crank pully and it is spot on. The car is getting spark. Not sure about fuel but I will check today. the engine will crank, but not catch. new plugs, wires, coil, fuel filter. Whats wrong?!?!?
  20. Im pretty sure that the EJ257 is the new USDM STi engine.
  21. If im correct, the over boost stuff is tied into the ecu, so if it was all blocked off and disconnected, then how can your car even run? the diagnostics would pick it up every time you start the car!
  22. Ive seen pics of that car before. Go back there and find out as much about that car as you can and come back here and tell us everything!!!
