Wagonpowaa and I just pulled and replaced the pans on our EA71, EA63 and EA81T respectivly. we did this with the car jacked up so we could fit underneath. Mine came out pretty easily, but Ben's took a little more work due to the shape of the crossmember. This makes me think that yours will come off easily too, but dont hold me to it.

Skip suggested to me that the dash pot is out of adjustment. that might explain why it dies when im coasting to a stop. but that doesnt explain why it doesnt like to restart when its hot. after looking at my trouble shooting trees in my FSMs, I think that if the wiring related to the trouble codes im getting isnt bad, then I think the ECU is poopy, but if that were the case, it wouldn't run, so I think its the wiring.

the comment about the plug causing the codes is interesting, but seems to make sense because Matt and I are getting the same codes! How much is an O2 sensor anyway? Im gonna go unplug min right now!

this is soooo messed up! so there is a bad ground some where and something is wrong with the ignition. Has anyone delt with this before?

Alright, I checked for codes and i got an 11: Open or ground in wiring and a 12: Starter SW 1, sticked to off. I know what the first one means, but what about the second? Do you think these two coeds are related?

Well guys and gals, I poured like 4 gallons of premium gas into her and drove her a little to get the old gas out of the lines, but still she has to go and die on me... what should I do next? I could check for codes, but the ECS light isnt on. I know it works because when the key is in the on position, it comes on. IM so angry!!! rawr!!!!

I've set my sights on this puppy, so if ya'll would be kind enough not to start a bidding war? Thanks!!!

sounds a lot like my little baby! ill put some fuel saver and new gas in since it has 3/4 tank already.

This only started happening today after the car reached operating temp, making the O2 sensor a seemingly likely culprit. Ill get some fresh gas along with some gas heat tomorrow and Ill read up on the MAF and throttle sensor trouble shooting guides tonight. Any other suggestions or past experiences?

It has been sitting since last December. However, because I love it so much, I sometimes go and start it and let it run for a while. I should get some gas heat for and follow the trouble shooting tree in the FSM.

i could check to see if it got unplugged. I dont think so, because I plugged it in just yesterday, but Ill check again.

I already did the fuel filter. it idled for 15 minuites last night before I shut it off. maybe after sitting for so long I knocked something loose in the gas tank and it clogged the fuel filter. should I replace it again?

Ok guys, I've got a good one for you. I pulled my Turbo wagon out of the garage today and let it run in the driveway. after it was warm, I went out and revved the engine a bit. after a few good revs, if I blip the throttle or give it a lot of gas and let it idle down, it will die on me. Now for my question, WHAT IS WRONG????? Update: now when I start it, if i dont get on the gas, it will idle for a few seconds, then die.

Ive seen that website before, but it doesnt go back far enough. the 3rd eye was a headlamp in the center of the grill on 80-82 EA81 GL cars. Still need help guys!

can we get pics of those MRT camber plates on your car? Also, need pics of the company's camber plates for EA81s, if nobody has them, ill email them.

what about sizes for a turbo motor? i heard as big as you can get, but within reason. Skip, what do you have on your turbo wagon?

what rpm does it spool at with the mod? keep me posted, im very interested in doing this swap for my little turbah!!!
