thanks for the support, I've been waiting for this car to be ready to go for so long, and if its not done my mid december, we will have to drive the minivan to the mountains!!! YUCK:boohoo:
-
sounds a lot like my little baby! ill put some fuel saver and new gas in since it has 3/4 tank already.
-
This only started happening today after the car reached operating temp, making the O2 sensor a seemingly likely culprit. Ill get some fresh gas along with some gas heat tomorrow and Ill read up on the MAF and throttle sensor trouble shooting guides tonight. Any other suggestions or past experiences?
-
You can use any of mine! I dont have an album in the gallery, but you can take them from my webshots account!
-
It has been sitting since last December. However, because I love it so much, I sometimes go and start it and let it run for a while. I should get some gas heat for and follow the trouble shooting tree in the FSM.
-
i could check to see if it got unplugged. I dont think so, because I plugged it in just yesterday, but Ill check again.
-
Thanks Matt, but I dont need the sarcasim. Goatboy, my car is a turbo, so it has not carb.
-
I already did the fuel filter. it idled for 15 minuites last night before I shut it off. maybe after sitting for so long I knocked something loose in the gas tank and it clogged the fuel filter. should I replace it again?
-
Ok guys, I've got a good one for you. I pulled my Turbo wagon out of the garage today and let it run in the driveway. after it was warm, I went out and revved the engine a bit. after a few good revs, if I blip the throttle or give it a lot of gas and let it idle down, it will die on me. Now for my question, WHAT IS WRONG????? Update: now when I start it, if i dont get on the gas, it will idle for a few seconds, then die.

what about sizes for a turbo motor? i heard as big as you can get, but within reason. Skip, what do you have on your turbo wagon?
-
what rpm does it spool at with the mod? keep me posted, im very interested in doing this swap for my little turbah!!!
-
go into more detail about this legacy/EA82 turbo, me interested!!!
-
this would be going on wagonpowaa's brat which will be receiving an 1800 with ported big valve heads.
-
well the intake manifold and heads on this engine will be ported and maybe extrude honed (if pricing permits), so airflow will deffinatly not be a problem. not sure of the best route yet. can i get some more opinions and personal experience from board members?
-
ill use the hacksaw idea. I think im gonna need a new A/C condenser soon though. lots of new bent fins, etc.
-
alright guys, i want my 3rd eye already. Its going in an 84. I drilled out the spot welds on the front of the core support and noticed that there are two more on little tabs haning down from the underside of the top of the core support. does anyone have a simple method for getting these removed without the sawzall?
-
Mudrat, you have email!
-
sounds like 32/36 is the best option. so where did people get theirs from? I've heard a lot about Bow-Wow and Redline, but which company sells the best kit?
-
Well the plan was to have the intake manifold extrude honed, and maybe the heads too, so that would improve the airflow into the cylinder. Would a 38/38 be good to use in that situation?
