  1. Yeah, I love orange too, I had a general lee at one time, not too sure if I could do the Brat orange though..
  2. Yeah, old mopars were good for stuff like that, you actually had to use the key to lock the dor after it was shut, I managed to lock the keys into the trunck once, but it was a rarity to do so.
  3. Yeah, '79 280ZX, still have one of those bugger lying around, think I'm gonna cut it up to make a trailer to tow behind my sube, that or a drift car.... either way.
  4. I really don't have much work into, but the fact is that it's a really solid driving car, I wouldn't hesitate jumping in it and driving it cross country (after I fix the axel). It's been on several long road trips and did fine on all, other than the fact it's auto and tachs like 4 grand @ 70mph I have no issues with the car.
  5. I think the deal may have fallen thru, someone gave her some sort of truck... must be nice. It's ok.....I'm fine with keeping the wagon. As far as the price, it's only about $100 high for around here and it's condition....... it's tough to find even a ragged out EA81 anything around her for less than $500...... I paid $400 for the car when I got it. EA82 cars are crazy money too..... $1500 is about the average price, $500 +/- .
  6. Yeah....I have to say, of all the cars I've ever had to break into...... the Subaru is by far the hardest to do with a slim jim, the rubber seal at the bottom of the door windows can be a b!*ch. The easiest ever was my Z, it took like 3 seconds to get into. BTW, I'm not a professional theif or anything but I am blonde and locking my keys into my car is something I've done many, many, many, many times....
  7. no problem..... just let me know when you send it...... I may be needing it sooner than later....... Let me know guys, I've got to call her back tonight.
  8. Oh, I also have an alt. that's been going out for like over a year or more, and the a/c just stopped working...... if that helps at all.
  9. That sucks, glad you're ok though. I say piece it back together and offroad it, if not...... dibbs on the push bar
  10. So my sister has this friend who is need of a car and she's apparently taken a shine to my multi-colored wagon of death and has offered me $600 for it. I'm not really sure that I want to sell it because at the moment it is my daily driver, but I do have my Brat to drive and the wagon need an axel and front brakes, $100ish dolars worth of work. I could surely put the money into getting rid of the front end isims in my Brat and maybe take care of some rust too. I dunno guys, should I do it..... I'd really love to keep the wagon and lift it, but the car does have a lot of rust in the rockers and it's an automatic car which I'm not crazy about, don't know if it's the wagon for me, ya know? Here are some pics of it now, and one before the reconstruction
  11. Yeah, whatever color it ends up, it's getting a matte black brat logo, I really can't see it any other way. I did have a lady at 7-11 the other day say "Hey, that's a Brat!" when I pulled up, so atleast one person knows what it is. As for the orange and blue, I can dig it... famous color combo, looks good too... dunno if I'd go matte, but to each his own.
  12. Yeah, that's exactly what happened, but he decided to give up on the car anyhow. Swapped the stockers back in and the clicking sound was still there. BTW, they were 260's not 272's.... I believe you don't have to shim anything less than a 270, we didn't have a lean issue either... the car was way rich.... likely cause by the aforementioned plenum.
  13. Thanks, kinda what I had figured.... one question down...
  14. Thanks, just found those about 5 minutes ago, still kinda wondering if there are gonna be any other issues with going from an auto to manual, clutch pedals, and using the EA82 axels.
  15. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=628748515908257406&q=subaru+brat&hl=en Wow, up to 15 minutes of excitement? Just like the real thing! was that a sbarro brat? Well known? funny... I thought they only did pizza.....
  16. I've got an '84 GL 4wd wagon with 3spd auto, I'm getting a 5 speed 4wd trans out of a '87 GL10 in the near future, I'm also pretty much getting the rest of the car too. Just wondering if I can use the front axels from the '87 in my wagon, the ones I currently have are shot, and will I have to change anything else? Also, will the pedals work too? I don't mind a little fabrication on the pedals if need be, but if it comes down to it I'd rather find some on here for sale. Thanks in advance, in info will be greatly appreciated. From what I've read this should be a pretty basic bolt in as far as swaps go, is this correct?
  17. Is this a direct bolt up? I'm gettting a EA82 4WD 5 speed to swap into my auto '84 GL 4WD wagon. I'm also curious if I can swap in the front axles too, how about the clutch pedal also, will it swap in? I hate to thread hijack, but it's along the same line nad I really don't want to start another thread.
  18. I think the tough but ugly as sin reputation is why I like 'em, kinda reminds me of a Subaru. I've only been in wagons also, I know a guy who has a wagon for sale, but I'd like to find a coupe.... strip it and make a mopar powered autocross car Not sure if some, all or any of the Eagles were mopars...... I think some may have been produced before the Chryco buyout.
  19. the Brat is awesome. The eagle has never won any beauty contests for sure, but there are good ones in the bunch. Yeah,
  20. The eagle is the only car'ish creature to be as tough as a Sube. Looks fun. I gotta head west soon....
  21. I've always been ridiculed by the Mopar guys, even when I had them.... I kinda like it As much as I'd like to I can't do WRBlue... the only other first gen Brat in town is a blue very similar to WRB and he's got his rear wheels flipped inside out... never wanna be confused with that guy. Can't do red wither, it's bad luck and would look too much like Starsky and Hutch..... I have a S&H Torino for that look. White will go on my wagon after it's lifted, so it'll likely be either dark green or yellow for the brat in all honesty. It depends what I do with the Brat, I've got several people who are trying to talk me into swapping in the engine and trans from my 280Z or doing an EJ swap. Who knows
  22. I had two top banana yellow '70 Chargers, I've actually considered going with that also.
  23. Time for an upday... it's jsut over a month away. Who's still planning on going?
  24. Well, thanks for all the help guys, we finally got it running last night about midnight. We got everything lined up and it didn't start. Checked everything again and all was well.... then on a hunch I jabbed the disty in 180 from where it was at and if fired right away, not sure what that was about. Anyhow, the car is makeing an enourmous amount of noise on the drivers side head, sounds like a collapsed lifter would but much louder. We pulled the valve cover and the rockers looked ok. Put it back together and drove it... ran well for about a half mile then crapped out. He said it sounded like it built boost and then popped something...... sounded like a blow off valve, after that the car would hardly run and was putting out a massive amount of black fuel smoke. I had to tow him back with my wagon...... so now it's a running car, but a very poorly running car.
