  1. exterior rust is not too bad, check underneath look at the front and real frame rails . stay away from turbo cars. . IMHO. as for tires I'm running 24 inch , and i had to put in a 2 inch quick lift to fit them, 29 or bigger would require a 4 inch lift, and or allot of fender trimming and inner floor pan adjusting, so you wont rub fully turned and suspension fully compressed. others may disagree
  2. hmmm. i dont think Ive ever seen color matching spray cans, or clear Cote automotive paint. maby a one step spray enamel can and a lot of wet sanding, could be possible
  3. it will drain about 70 percent of the coolant. you can use the drain plug on the bottom of the radiator, and catch it in a pan, and reuse it. that stuff is close to 10 bucks a gallon now
  4. no way to get an air impact wrench on it ??? can you make it to a tire store maby? they can loosen it for you. ?
  5. wow lots of heat on that flywheel, you may want to look into a good used one, id hate to put money into milling it just to find out its junk .is somone riding the clutch ? maby using it as a foot rest ?, new driver?
  6. HAHAHAHAHAHA my 17 yr old son refuses to use my broom handle, just because it not cool
  7. Run it till it busts, work out all the bugs in the lift and other stuff. see what tire combinations you like.etc . etc. than look for another one and transfer all the goddies to it. its the circle of life man. ashes to ashes , iron oxide to iron oxide
  8. sounds like a voltage regulator problem. i would check it for over voltage. that could be a problem
  9. ditto on that. use flux and new solder,..Detroit Rock City
  10. Knock sensor ???, what kind of engine are we talking about, ea82, ej 22possiably ?
  11. yikes. mini mokes rock. ive never seen one in real life before
  12. i would take it off , clean the threds real good . use blue locktite. put a center punch in the flywheel to hold the engine from turning. ( you may need another persion to hold the punch). and use a breaker bar , and maby a short pipe on the breaker bar. tighten the @#%# out if it. then let the locktite cure for 12 hours before starting it. it should never happen again after that.
  13. i always put the thredded portion in first. and sinch it down . ... are the radius rod bolts removed ?. this can give you more room to move the lower control arm down. it shouldnt be that hard. unless you have 2 inch strut lift blocks in.
  14. is it stuck on the diferential stub. yikes , they can be stubborn, you could try a little heat. if you have a torch. good luck. you may need it
  15. are you talking about the fan on the water pump. or an electric fan, you should have one or the other
  16. how low of rpms is it idling. glowing lights are an indicator of craptachi anternator problems, try to tighten the belts, but i think it may be the alternator, there pretty wimpy . rev it up and check the volt guage . make sure the volts are not spiking to . like 18 volts or more
  17. i just used the stock subaru bolts to fasten the blocks to the car, than used 3/8 16 grade 5 bolts to fasten the suspention to the blocks
  18. IMHO, the 5 speed dual range is a must when running larger tires, its hard to climb hills with 29 inch tires in 4wd hi.
  19. i could take a pic of a dissasymbled one if thay would help , its not too bad of a project. is this car a 4 wheel drive, or a front wheel drive
  20. hmmmm my lil auto did the same thing. i lubed it with wd 40 and it was better. ill look under it and maby get some pics. ill post later
  21. Ive had t o d for 6 months, seems to get quieter during the beginning of the oil change cycle, when the engine leaks enough oil or Ibrake a timing belt ill do a compleat engine reseal and junk.
