  6. the japanese have a high tax put on an older vehicles, the older the vehicle is the more expensive it is to drive, after three years you have to get a government inspection , than every year after that, its kinda like of certifing a cessna, a very exhaustive inspection, and very costly, they say its actually cheaper to buy a new vehicle than to get an inspection every year, on avarage they keep their cars for 4 years. in japan the land is so expensive that they cant have vast junkyards, and their isnt a market for used cars or older parts, so they cut them up and ship them all over the world
  7. i use a dremel, and a small cutoff blade, if your not careful with a grinder you can melt the flaps from heating up the bolts too much, if your dremel is battery powerd you can use a spray bottle and some water to cool it of while you cut, my last set did come off with a small screw driver. it did elongate the hole slightly, but didnt destroy it
  8. my old 1991 loyale had a ground problem, i just cleaned it and it took off, seemed similar , checked it with a vom , no voltage, because i was using the bad ground for the neg test lead, just a thaught,

  24. could also be a pulley alignment issue, you may need to shim the pulleys, in industrial applications if pulleys are misaligned , the belts tend to ride up one side of the pulley then roll.
