  1. once I drained the fluid into a white bucket it was red, but not a dark red. oh well. put in new dex 3 and away we go. woohoo thanks all
  2. I have a 1998 forester, I'm doing a auto trans flush, noticed the fluid is clear, not red. do I have to use OEM ATF fluid at 7 bucks a quart or is dextron 3 a good replacement ??
  3. does water freeze in browerd county..do you see any of those sexy ."police woman of browerd county" sheriff deputy's ??? you may want to fill the radiator and leave the cap off. than look for bubbles
  4. i had one ebay belt kit . from the importexperts .. brake on me in 3000 miles. however out of 5 kits purchased from them , its not to bad of a deal.
  5. check for leaves or other junk in the drain holes. near the corner of the fenders.. had the same problem, it could also be windshield gaskets
  6. i was gonna say 3000 rpm at 45 seems normal for my 3 speed 4wd auto, yes count the gears.. you may not have a problem at all.. except that its an automatic

I have a 91 loyale 3 speed auto, 2 wheel drive , I'm getting ready to convert it to 5 speed manual, I just read the conversion write up , but it is for an earlier ea81. is there any major differences between the two. i have a fully functioning 92 loyale 5 speed 2wd donor car (rear end total). any help would be much appreciated
  8. i have a 1998 Forrester ,auto ej , 2.5 , having trouble finding a auto trans. i found one locally out of a 1998 outback same ej25, same gear ratio 4.44. my question is are they interchangeable
  9. title says it all. the head bolts came off like they had locktite, but the threads didn't look like it. have my OEM head gaskets, ready to install.. just wondering if i should locktite them
  10. it there any rust. some fuel lines run under the back seat, or along the rockers , well here in the rust belt any way , i just started sniffing around, i didnt sniff the seats however
  11. nice clean look. my gehetto extention looks crappy.
  12. my forrester is consuming coolant. put a pressure tester on it..no pressure drop 4hrs later, is this an automatically a head gasket problem, any tricks to further diagnose to rule out, i was thinking it was the water pump.
  13. massive oil leak, coming from the right side, some little gasked, have to pull the engine and get big whit it.new head gaskets , and all the belts and seals. arrgg stupid ea82 "boat anchor" GD quote
  14. HMMM, could be a number of things, it kinda one of those id have to look things. if your fluid is low, you would have a mushy pedal, if you pump the pedal does it get firmer?
  15. you gotta lift it, but go with 27,s, perfect fit
  16. someone here has a diagram with wire colors and everything. did you try the search ?
  17. you could change out the flasher relay with a eletronic one. i did this when i used custome led lights on my homade front bumper
  18. there getting hard to find nowdays, i got my one on ebay, didnt see anything there now
  19. the spedo should be cable driven, see if you can lube the cable, if you can do it from the inside and let gravity do the rest.
  20. is this a carby or EFI ? have had very similar problem with EFI, it was a wanked out T.P. sensor, would get a good signal when cold, when hot it would hunt for a signal.
  21. you got to get rid of that 3eat there slooooowwwww , but the car is still awsome ,
