  3. Car: 1986 Subaru XT Turbo 5-speed Problem: Overheating like a s-o-b:confused: Hi guys, hopefully somebody on here knows a little bit more about my car then me. I got the clutch done in it, picked it up from the mechanic and it is overheating real bad! i of course did the t-stat and changed the gasket, but it is still overheating? does anybody know what else it could be, is it something the mechanic could of done, unhooked a sensor or something? my boyfriend says to just drive it, but i dont want to f-up the turbo... please give me some advice!
  4. I have a 91 Legacy Sedan and when I start it or stop after idling for a while, the rpms jump from 1500 to 200 rpms and viloently goes back and forth until you put it in drive or shut it off. It doesnt cut off when Im driving or anything but whenever its at idle its jumpin all around. The exhaust needs to be replaced from the headers back, could that be causing the problem? and yes, i already tried to change the pc valve(didnt help). If anyone can offer any suggestions that would be great. Also if you livein or near CT and have any parts for this car, that would be great.
  5. Thanks , ill look into that, i dont want to do it twice
  6. i got myself a 5 spd xt turbo, 1986 and i need to put a new clutch in it. anybody have any suggestions on what kind to get, is there a certain type of aftermarket clutch that is good, or does anybody have one. i was also looking for some advice on a blow off valve of some sort, or if its worth it. I'll take any suggestions anybody can offer, thanks.
