  1. perfectly good reason, you have my blessing.
  2. can i put a justy 3 cylinder in my ea82? why would you ever want to go that small? just wondering
  3. i saw a white 4x4 just today, and it said rs. does that mean realy slow, or is it just a factory looking sticker? those are sidewinders right?
  4. EA82 WAGONS EVERYWHERE! rusty mint 4x 2x. everywhere in minneapolis, i got the only ea81 in town i think.
  5. its dual. with the plugs, it has a quite a few pins in there, like its a feedback carb?
  6. i have used generic orings out of my assortment tray you can get them at most auto places, or farm equip places. and it has held tight for 20k miles so far. i would just pull it apart and make sure that is your problem, they should be all cracked and disolving, if they are not holding fluid. and if the piston isnt trashed, and still fits in the caliper like it is new, the shops get payed big bucks for replacing rubber! if your piston is smooth, and not jagged and mared its ok.
  7. its usualy just orings/ seals. should be easy to rebuild
  8. not to discount anyones opintions, but i didnt read any of the comments because i have one thing to say that i know for sure about synthetics, from experience. MY SPFI GAINED 2-3 MILES PER GALLON WITH THE USE OF MOBIL1! i changed nothing else, no lie, just my experience.
  9. is this a ea81 or ea82? the one pic looks like the ea82 but im not that familure with them as i threw my ea82 away.
  10. na cams in a turbo might be cool. better low end torque? faster spoolup?
  11. my spfi ran fat all the time, especially when i floored it and the o2 was doing nothing. and even with advanced timing, exhaust, and a modified airbox, i couldnt get it to lean out much at all(it went down one half green bar on the autometer, and it was usually about 4 bars into the green). why do you think you are runing lean? the o2 sensor only keeps it CLOSE to 14.7 when you are cruising at part throttle, so for performance driving (WOT) the 02 sensor is just another guage sensor.
  12. diesel is good for hauling buttloads of weight, not daily driving is all im saying. but it would be cool to run cooking oil, especially filtered used stuff from mcdonalds:drunk: . but it would be a sure fire way to make a subaru even slower
  13. and if its a car that you actually drive, it will promote rust. makes your headers last 2 years on the street:D
  14. well, could you ever have dual round headlights with a center light, in a gen 2 hatch? would it fit?
  15. do it. it can handle a few lbs of turbo boost, so any ea81 should be cool with spfi. better than a weber in my book! (im sure i'll catch some flack for that)
  16. i ALWAYS chop as much of the shifter off that i can. then i take a piece of cardboard and poke a hole in it, then i stick it over the cut off shifter so i can weld it while its still in the car:headbang: i weld the old threaded part back on the top and:banana: i can shift fast enough to make the tanny grind:-\ its great though. my brother does the skull with set screws, cuz he dont weld
  17. you have to be signed in to view the marketplace. its there, just not visible till you sign in.
  18. never seen a diesel drag racer, so in my opinion diesel sucks. its good for pulling stuff. who needs twice the torque of horsepower? our subarus have as much tourque to horsepower ratio as i want in a car. its just not that usable unless you have alot of gears. good for tanks and boats and semi trucks.
  19. but what about the fact that the jumpseats, realy are jump seats, or ejector seats? i would rather ride in a trailer behind a brat than in the deadly jumpseats
  20. when did they stop round headlights? were there any on hatchbacks? or just brats? when did they make the dual range 4speed. thanks in advance
  21. for example i have a harley. two cylinder, with two exhaust ports. i have a 2into1 pipe, with no baffle. i dont have much back pressure at all (1 7/8 pipes off the head into a 2.5inch megaphone) but i have the all mighty scavenging effect! good for 10 hp over a standard dual exhaust with no crossover. thats on a harley, but its pretty close analagy. less back pressure=crappy lowend power/great top end more back pressure= good low end/crappy top end breathing and... the scavenging doesnt start till mid rpm range anyway, so less backpressure works good with a good scavenging exhaust.
  22. jag huh? thats ALOT of heavy metal. good to hear the subaru protected you and your family
