  1. i dont have time to look through these pages now, but i think the air ride controll is on there somewhere. http://home.comcast.net/~c.moe/xt_wiring.pdf its always good to keep this link near the top anyway the beer got me thinkin.
  2. i always thought the ea81T had multi port intakes. never seen one, this is juust my understanding.
  3. hotwire, under hood. jump a wire from the plus battery to the plus of the coil, that gives power to everything the back door way. you leave this one pluged in while the car is runing. then jump a wire from plus to engage the starter. as soon as the positive wire touches the solenoid wire(the one that has a single spade style plug on it) the starter will go, so make sure everything is clear of moving parts. and no i dont steel cars
  4. you can use the same brackets you have, and just get a belt that fits, there is some honda v belt that is perfect. or just measure it with string, i have no ac, or powersteering. the top alt bracket will seem kinda wierd just being held by one bolt, but it has worked for hunderds of miles for me. ditch that powersteering too.
  5. no, it puts air into your exhaust to help the catalytic converter work better. doesnt put air in the engine, puts air after the engine. ditch that crap
  6. sparkplugs, wrapped in duct tape, or... screwdriver ends, work great! plug the rubber hose parts. no big deal
  7. cool, 80-90 constant is alot. you could push lotsa lbs of boost with a system like that, i would guess.
  8. so exactly what is my broblem? my 4 runner sitting right next to the car has hard lines for the efi that are the same size as my ea81 hatch. just wondering why i would ever need a half inch pipe to feed fuel? just wondering, im not changing it now.
  9. put a bag over your disty and alternator and carwash the hell out of the engine bay, top and bottom. if it doesnt start back up, squirt wd 40 in the cap and dry it out. if its just smell your going by that could be it, dry boiled oil heating up on heads, and exhaust. if its antifreeze smell, half of them smell like that anyway=]
  10. ya, it could be a loose hose, just as easily as being a head gasket or a cracked head, but if you dont have to add water, then its not going out the tail pipe, unless very slowly. it could be your thermostat, same thing happened to me in my wagon, and your heater will still work just fine, even better. could also be an intake manifold gasket, happened to morganm. lotsa possibilities. my bet is a sticky, not broken thermostat.
  11. if this pump pumps up to 90 lbs, is my stock return line gonna get overfilled, and pressurised?
  12. the sending units for the guages ea81 and ea82, that have the small threaded nipple, all send the same ohm, current, whatever. i have an ea82 in my ea81 car, and it sits right where the mechanical guage sits. i guess the only ones that are different are the ones with the big threads, almost as big as my thumb, are for dummy lights, or maybe digi dashes, since i have never had either one, im not sure. as far as my experience, if it fits, and its off a subaru, it works.
  13. it holds the flywheel to the engine? run without it, no big deal, theres something like 7 right? but if its for the pressure plate thats different
  14. i know this was asked resently, but who has a half desent pic? i am going to have some decals made, my buddy is a die cut sticker maker and he does a good job. anybody? also i was gonna have him make some of the front window stickers, like SUBARU OFFROAD, or SUBARU 4X4. any other ideas? shoot em at me.
  15. damn, i was gonna guess you hooked something up wrong. isnt it nice when the clouds lift, and you have a runing car again?
  16. if anything like this was ever done, and not just talked about, that would rule! dsm, themitsubishi would be the best for that, because of all the aftermarket, and the fact that you can run 20 lbs without any other real mods. it has a viscous coupling, but you might have to put the engine in the back, so it will fit. any of those sidewinders, would need to be put in as one piece, because they would never seperate tranny to engine, while in the engine bay. or you could just stick a 2.2 in there, thats a new one. =]
  17. ya, thats all it needs, right under the throttle plate should be the best, i think. the newer one, with no vac at all, wont work with your computer.
  18. sparks dont fly unless something is wierd, sounds like the jumpstart was backwards. and if it was enough to move the car... why wouldt it start the car? there a bar near your house?
  19. looks stout as hell. nice color and bumper =] living with little to no hatches would be hard.
  20. 30s should just barely fit with alot of trimming
  21. heh, you could always mount your maf sensor right on top of th thotle body, upside down, then stick the filter under the scoop. that would probably work pretty good. thanks for the idea.
  22. its a ford fuel pump that flows 50 gph, and pumps up to 90 lbs. and it only cost 39 bucks, compared to the 100-140 bucks i was finding them for. took the partsdork forever to find it, heres the part number 2p74028 its a tru-flow, and its in a napa box. it came in raw metal color, i had to paint it, and mount it on a coil bracket. should work good.
  23. you would loose performance, and have alot of new stupid problems to deal with. no way a weber is better than mpfi, anybody that disagrees is just in denial because they spent too much on the weber, or cant face the fact that mpfi rules!
  24. so, my mpfi has 3 crank vent spiggots. one on each rocker cover, and one near the rear of the engine, on the block. can i plug the one in the crank, and just run the valve cover ones like normal, or is it better to have it breath out the crank too?
