Thanks to Huck369 for this writeup. Well boys and girls I thought I'd post up some info on the 2008 Alcyone Dragon Meet It will again be held at Fontana Village Resort on June 26th-29th Reservations can be made at: 800.849.2258 It's always a very "informal meet" more about the people than anything else. Usually some driving, bench racing, picture taking, bench racing, cookout, bench racing,...(see a pattern forming?) I think that everyone that attends always leaves with lots of great memories, and several new friends! So come on out!! Be sure to post if you plan on attending.... I'll try to post more as I can.... And copied from the XT6 site.. "Quote" The GOOD news is that we are getting the "dragon slayer" discount, which is 15% off any cabin and 25% off any room. Just mention that you are with the Subaru Alcyone group and ask for the "dragon slayer" discount when you reserve your room/cabin/campsite. The discount is good for ANY room/cabin, even those not on reserve for us, and even after the reserve date is up. The thing to do at this point would be to call and make a reservation if you plan on going, even if you want something that is not available. There are 85 rooms at the lodge on reserve for the Solstice/Sky group until May 1st, and I was told that they have very little chance of actually filling them. That means that if you reserved a dogwood cabin now and called on May 1st you could switch your reservation from the cabin to the room and still get the discount. That way, if all else fails you will still have the dogwood and you aren't left out in the cold. The same goes for those of you wanting Laurels cabins. If you want one of those, call group sales and ask for the date that they come off reserve so you know when to switch.

"Passive" 4WS started on the 2nd gen RX-7. There's a "toe link" that, as the suspension compresses, toes out the rear outside wheel. Conversely the same link toes in the other wheel as the body rolls. I can't say for 100% if the late model Leggys have the same type of setup. It's not based on the side loads, rather the travel of the suspension.

Something just a tad more simple. How old was your coolant? Was it the correct mixture? I'm asking because, along with HG's this is a classic symptom of the radiator freezing up. The car overheats, the pressure pushing coolant out the overflow. Let it thaw, and it draws coolant back in, leaving the bottle empty. Being a "side tank" radiator, it can freeze partially & still flow minimal amounts of coolant.

Myth Confirmed: TN Snow Does Exist
crazyhorse001 replied to Durania's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
We got a "dusting" last night, it's just too damned cold to really snow. It was 12deg when I got up, it's 10 now....BRRRRRRR -
Don't walk... RUN away from this car! Mismatched tires can, and will destroy the transfer clutches in the transmission. That's an $800 repair. Having them on the diagonal, if the car has limited slip diffs, it will fry those as well. If the car checks out mechanically, you COULD use this as leverage to get them to drop the price drastically. If you don't get them to drop it...leave a nice little note about mismatched tires in the glovebox. Then anyone curious enough will have leverage too.

I really depends on how fancy you wanna get. If I had a LOT of things to hook up, I'd install a relay & pull directly from the battery. Find a switched 12v to trigger the relay. Then use a terminal block to distribute the power. Fuse each component individually, for safety's sake.

The problem isn't heat output from the unit. It's in heat transmission through the windshield. I'd also worry about the Pretty One coming out to a smashed window, and a missing GPS unit. For my $$$ if I wanted it there, I'd simply leave the door open & velcro the unit in place. That way when it wasn't being used, it could be placed out of sight. I had a window broken in a car for a Passport radar detector. Not fun. Fishing the power up to that area shouldn't be a huge issue.
