Nevermind I'm a idiot

Change the oil, bang on it with a hammer, I dunno it's an ea82 it'll probably be fine

Any updates?

I used quicksteel on mine

My guess is junkyard. The longblock in my car came from a junkyard and rather than pull the drain plug, they punch a hole in the pan.

No I'll be there

I have also seen someone stick a 3.8 L36 (GM) into an EA82 body. The motor sat up too high from the photos, but it was also made into a RWD vehicle.
Do you know where I would be able to find said photos? I did some searching but no luck.

Does the handle on the hatch itself not work?
Edit: nvm, I just read the part about camping

Thanks for the input. I've decided I'm going to leave this one awd and just look for a p/t 4wd trans to bastardize. Mods feel free to delete this thread.

I'm planning on using this because A. I'm on a tight budget and B. I got the transmission for free. If I happen upon a p/t trans before I get the car roadworthy then I'll use that, I was just wondering about welding up the center on the xt6 trans.

Ok, so I've got an ea82 wagon that I'm starting the process of rebuilding, and I'm going to make it rwd. I have an xt6 awd trans with locking center diff. Would I be alright pulling the front axles and locking up the center, or do I need to weld it up? I have it partially taken apart right now, but I'm not really seeing anywhere that I can weld up the center diff. The teeth that lock the center don't look like they could take too much abuse, but I could be wrong. Has anyone done this? Or has anyone successfully welded a locking center diff?

1990 Legacy
Do I need to pull the dash to replace the heater core, or can I get away without pulling it?

I scored the harness out of a 96 or so impreza for my ej swap, and so far the only thing I've done is unplug the engine side of the harness from the rest of it, and it looks like that's all i'll need. Do i need to cut anything out of the rest of the harness? Another question, if I were to want to keep the obd2 plug, how much work is involved with removing that from the harness?

Did subaru have a stereo where grey is the common ground? We're looking at a stereo out of a 2000 legacy gt wagon that was in a front end wreck. From what it looks like on the harness that goes into the stereo, the grey is a common ground. We need to know which wire is constant (memory) hot and which one is the switched power. Also what wires control the cd player if possible

If it does have the lsd and rear discs, then it's worth the $200
