Thanks for all the responses guys,Im still very new to the Oldskool suby scene and am still learning what fits what and what is interswappable with what. I had a 04 WRX before and know all about that,but this oldskool car is throwing me around

Here in Vegas "Land of construction" there are many people who bend there 17" rims even with 45 series tires.Some of the edges in the roadways where they are going to pave the road are huge. I for one have never bent a 17" or 18" here but i dont wanna start. And i thought he was refering to just a 40 series tire.Not a 45 I will probally just find a nice set of 16's and run them. What offset is usually run though?

So really some 16's would probally be a better choice. 17's with 40 series tires usually result in bent rims What offset would you run in a 16 and what rim width would fit. This is of course after the 5 lug swap

Can it be done after doing the 5 Lug conversion??? I have seen most just use wrx wheels,but can larger 17" wheels fit or are they to big for the wheel wells.

It does it at any rpm when the boost light comes on.I notice it more on the highway when accelerating.

I just bought the car about 3 weeks ago,so no boost gauge yet It does have the wonder Boost light,which im convinced is just a light that comes on at a certain throttle position

Its not thowing any codes at all,just the hesitation in boost. Ill do the tune up this weekend and see if that cures it.If not ill be back on monday

My 87 RX with the EA82T runs fine at part throttle,but when im in boost"when the boost light comes on" it kinda hesitates. Any idea on what to check? TIA

The single green wire is what powers the A/C compressor clutch when you push the a/c button on. I dont know where it plugs in though -
I was nervous to smog my 87 turbo RX as ive only had it a short time and just wasnt sure it would pass. But it passed well below the limits which absolutley surprised me. G/L on getting yours smogged

I just saw that after i had posted. Does that swap thread relate to any 5 lug conversion?I thought it mentioned a GL but are the Rx and GLs the same platform?

I have a 87 Subaru RX with the God aweful 4x140 or what ever they are bolt pattern. Ive already tried to search about swapping the hubs and couldnt find anything directly related. Has anyone done a hub swap to use different wheels or is redrilling the hubs the only option? TIA
