question about my loyale
TheLoyale replied to 1blwngtp's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
WOW! Thats really clean inside and out, I personally would list it for $1,300 and work my way down a little if needed. You should be able to get a decent price for that, even with a bad HG. I know if I was local, I would definitely check it out. Good luck on the sale! -
question about my loyale
TheLoyale replied to 1blwngtp's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
If its pretty rust free, and the underbody is solid (No holes) I would list it for $1,000 and work you way down to no lower then $800, This is just a guess, not seeing the vehicle. An HG on the EA82 are pretty easy, and chances are the head is perfectly fine, no warpage. Its really up to you what your bottom dollar is. -Tom -

I want to say I remember this car some how, I remember some Tan EA81 met some type of fate a few years back (Unless it was another one?) -

1984 Brat Distributor, Cap, & Rotor Troubles
TheLoyale replied to Harvester's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I have had this issue, even the Dealer gave me a Cap and Rotor for the Nippon Disty when I have the Hitachi in my '83 EA81. The Cap for the Nippon disty has the vent cap on it (And does not fit on the Hitachi correctly) the Rotor for the Nippon disty has the long shank on it and does not slide onto the Hitachi Disty. I finally got the correct parts from Parts Hut of all places. -

Name this car: Love the tint to this photo. -
Cool, that'd be nice! Cheers, -Tom

I would! Might as well give that car some recognition too.

Finished Cleaning my Interior tonight, and conditioned it with Mothers Protectant (Best interior protectant I've ever used) I still need to remove the upper half of the rear seat. I also have Mothers Back-to-Black to restore color to faded parts, bumper, moldings, interior bits if any. 1st row carpet 2nd row carpet Cargo carpet

They are awesome cars, along with all the Euro Fords. -
You are lucky over there with no salt. WI just pours down the salt, I actually think the waste a lot of it for no reason. Yeah, I absolutely love that rack, It does look good black. Its better then mine (I'm also missing the crossbars which sucks) Subarus with no rack suck, the roof pops A LOT. At least in an EA82.
-
You took it out in the snow!!! The rear bumper looks good on there, the front does need a little, something. Is the Rack factory? Or is that a retrofit?
-
Haha! I will do.
-
This could be due from a different year ECM. What year is this car? I agree with the Neutral switch safety.
-
Tom, sounds good. Thank you for the breakdown of the lines. I have figured out why I kept getting the wrong rotor, The rotor I kept getting is for the Nippon Disty, while mine is Hitachi.
-
Hey! LOVE, its what makes a SUBARU, a Subaru. Enjoy it or else! :-p

Woah yeah, I cleaned all the carpeting and Seats with Commercial brand Pre-spotter/Cleaner. The pile is really plush for 30 y.o carpet, deep rich color. Awesome!
-
Huh, indeed they are, did not know that (Even after I live on the 4x140 wheels page) lol

Yeah the rust on the door is always an issue, thankfully, this is only surface rust (For now) and I can probably eradicate that pretty easy, its not soft and rotted, I will have to wire wheel the door or something, possible sand blast if I can find a place (I think Jboy knows a dude with a sand blaster) I will also have to remove the door panel and get inside, check things out, seal it up ect. I need to remove all the Door panels anyway and lube the window tracks (Slow motors, might need to grease the motors too) As for the Wagon wheels not fitting on a Loyale, they "Should" clear the brakes on any EA82, as these wheels were also used on the EA82 GLs. a 13" rim, is a 13" rim, or so I thought? Maybe I'll have to check this out on my Loyale.
