Lol, probably not. Unless they are into movies from the 50s, he was an actor in his prime (A sad one at that) -
Jon, Don't worry about the tires. I have two full sets that come with it (Stockers and 27") The only tires I would have to match anything, would be my Bighorns, and I am not taking wheels off the Loyale (More piss and wongleflute then its worth) Timing set is probably fresh, so I wouldn't worry about it. Plus we would need a huge C-clamp to compress the tensioner, EA82 timing belts are easier on the side of the road then the EJ. I am not at all concerned with the mechanicals of this car. I wil bring my toolbox and some fluids. The day actually won't be that long, I bet we will be back down here by 7pm. It is only 6.5hrs up to Superior.

For the youngens that don't know Ronald Reagan owned a Subaru, -
A little more history of this car, Funny how long it took the NC dude (MysteriousXTC) to sell it. The Sale thread is entertaining. http://www.carolinahondas.com/non-honda-vehicle-classifieds/81379-ft-87-subaru-gl-10-turbo-w-dual-rang-5spd-swap-lift-more-3.html Here is the final sale conversation from back in 2010. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/member.php?tab=visitor_messaging&u=10384#visitor_messaging

I will agree Bill (The Beast I Drive) makes some good stuff. May not be CNC'd, but is built.
-
Welded captured nut on the other side through the Uni-rails, total bummer if it breaks loose... Stressful Situations of Subaru Splendor !!
-
I would also see about spacing down the Radius rods by 1/2" just to keep a little less stress off the bushing. Funny how that little rod is the only thing keeping your wheel from ramming into the Fender wall/Door.

See if you can find the Aluminum Diamond plate, its a little cheeper (And lighter) I think a 24"x24" is like $15 (And you'll need 4) so yeah, still spendy. But cool.

You don't have enough stickers. Plus the entire car isn't painted, you painted strips over the original gray lol! 75% true Trashwagon. You also don't have all the funky stuff in your that I put in mine

Acknowledged.

Tom, just noticed your message. Perhaps I'll have to plan a roadtrip this summer, meet some of the other Mid-west Subaru crowd. See if MilesFox will be my co-driver, if he's up for a trip!

My point was, you can no buy them in 27" anymore. The 195s are 25" (Which is stock Legacy size) -
Welcome to the USMB on behalf of the Subaru Alliance. I am just getting onto an '87 GL-10 with EJ22 swap. Need some pics of yours!
-
I can't wait to do a Carfax on on this after I get it, Just to see how many owners it has had. It'll be interesting. 1 Week to go....!
-
Whoops, misread your other post. You included an XT6 pitch stopper (Not clutch)
-
HIDs will indeed come in time, I will have to do a full tune up and Fluid change before I start driving it, and go over it with a fine comb, and probably remove the entire interior and clean everything. Its called having a good poker face. I could probably sell someone a car I don't even have yet
-
Ah, that sounds about right from what I remember when I tore down an XT6 MilesFox had. Jon, didn't you include an XT6 clutch with that car before you sold it? As for the Light protectors, these are kinda rare, but then they pop out of the wood work. They are pretty cool to have though, and look great on the car for shows!
-
Are you selling?

We are already up to Trashwagon13, but TW10 is the only real complete Trashwagon in existence. It is possible the '87 GL-10 might sport a TW paint job (This is only a slight possibility at the moment) although, it will probably go more down the Safariwagon road. MilesFox, you need to get some new pics of you behind the wheel of your new toy! I still have an un-uploaded video of TW10 snow drifting in a Church parking lot from Dec, I need to edit and upload.

Came up with another set of these. I now possess two new sets of these! http://www.ebay.com/itm/380394106134?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_500wt_717

I need a refresher on what the difference is between and EA82 Clutch and an ER27 clutch. Anyone?
