I show my dedication to Subaru even when I'm hiking.
-
I haven't even driven it since I bought it sadly, Cause it needs too much stuff. But no, I'm keeping it. I'm not making the same mistake 3 times in a row.

Ok, I will try to figure out shipping, or how to ship them. I'm just gonna walk into UPS and see what they say. I will take a photo of the tire or tires and send it to you so you can see what they look like.

Well, after I get my tax return, I am ordering a set of these tires and will get them mounted on the new wheels! Then the Pugs are possibly getting BFGoodrich Radial T/As and are going on the Coupe.

The Brat? Nope, just got it to the finishing stage. Was a christmas gift from my Fiance', so she'd probably kill me if I got rid of it lol. She didn't know I had two others in the past

Anyone ever ran a 215/60/14 tire on their stock EA81? I'm thinking of running these BFGoodrich Radial T/As on the coupe with my Pugs. Overall Diameter is like 24.2" Just wanted a lower profile tire that is also a little wider.

Welcome! Glad you found the USMB and am happy to see another WI member. Nice Baja by the way. -Tom -
There. I have 3 sets of them, new in box. I put a set on once for a car show. But now can't run them with the JDM corner lights.

I never knew about these until a few years ago. Miles Fox showed me a box he go out of one at the junkyard long ago, it didn't have the key or chain, but I thought it was cool, Then I ran across a box in the junkyard and found a key from an EA81 and now I found the chain/box on ebay. Its pretty awesome! Much like those EA82 headlight covers, which I have like 3 NOS sets lol.

I will finally have a complete set! I already have a nice condition box and Key, I just need the key chain to complete the set! Also got a key blank for the Coupe. The shank is the same, but the plastic fob is of a newer style, probably for an EJ Subie. Either way, I'll have a genuine key for the GL now!

Ausubaru is a good forum too! Lots of friendly folks and good info on there. I hope you enjoy your stay here -Tom -
Its actually pretty clean looking minus the gate and rear quarter panels. Your rockers look still intact! Looks like it'll be a fun project Check inside the radiator when its running and at temp to see if there are any bubbles in the Rad, if so it could be a failed HG causing the overheat, if nothing, than I would just revamp the entire cooling system. On a side note, if the Waterpump was never replaced, I've seen one where all the pusher blades on the pump corroded away and there was nothing pushing the water. With 200k it could be possible. -Tom

Cool deal. I will check it out and see how it looks. I was thinking of taking the tank to a shop who seals it from the inside out, a buddy with a Imperial did that to his steel fuel tank, turned out really nice. Dunno what it costs off hand, but it may be a good route. When I put the rust free tank in the Skiwagon I cleaned the tank and stripped it down nicely and recoated it with truck bed liner and hard shell undercoating (No way it was gonna rust from the outside) Shouldn't rust from the inside if someone keeps the tank full. Wonder what happened to that car since the new owner in PA?

Speaking of "Yonkers" There is a City in New York State which is called Yonkers. Random info I know lol.

I never got into Datsuns/Nissans for the matter of having never bought one. Although there are a lot of JDM models I just love. Fairlady 2000 roadster for one, Straight-6 powered 240 would be awesome too. I guess if I had to pick a JDM dream car, it'd be the Toyota 2000GT or Even a '70 Celica Liftback/Fastback. Subaru should have taken the EA81 body and made a Fastback!

Also, I am changing the name from EuroCoupe' to Hardtop SSS. I'm going to try my best to make this a bad rump roast Sport Coupe with possible future Driveline swap and suspension mods.

Oh yeah no doubt. Just wasn't sure if you thought he was in the states. I sent him a box full of Subaru models and die-cast. Although I sent it to his courier service in FL.

You're going to ship wheels to Central America? Just pointing that out incase you didn't know.
-
I too like the Black or the Black with the pinstripe. They don't look bad in factory polish, but one look at them and you see a 240SX wheel. I say they do fit the car nicely and I would run them

Questions about gear ratios on GL, loyale
TheLoyale replied to Fish-N-Fool's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Auto FWD trannys were 3.7 Auto 4WD were 3.9 too Yes, the D/R 5spd will be the same as your currant S/R 5spd. Cheers, -Tom -
Spreading the word of Patrick Anderson's Design and Fabrication! My car is gonna run his Front 6" kit.

Good call on the Klever MTs. I'm actually thinking of going with these, The design looks decent and the specs look pretty good. How have they held up for road driving? Is the compound hard enough where it'll last ok for freeway use? Also, does it say how many ply they are? I am guessing 3-ply since they are C rated. 30x9.5R15LT Guess for the price I can't turn these down! If the KM2s were a bit cheaper I would go with them Hands down, I've always liked BFG tires.
-
So I am looking at getting 235/75/15 BFGoodrich KM2s for the Loyale, I'm pretty set on these tires are they have been good on the Landcruiser, just dunno if I wanna blow $660 for a set of 4. Been looking into other options for quality tires as well.
