  1. Yes, I also thought Subaru offered hubcaps like that on their line of vehicles in the 80s?
  2. Its probably better in the snow then a Subaru, as I can go through even deeper snow, I have more power and torque, more weight and solid axles. Once I get decent matching tires on this beast, there is nothing gonna stop it. Stopping is an issue for any vehicle, worst comes to worst, lock up the wheels, and toss it in reverse and give'er some gas. My parents had an '88 Hilux 5spd that was hugged the road in a blizzard.
  3. I haven't really been driving it due to the front axle. Plus we don't have any snow. I'm keeping it, cause I'll never find another in this good of shape.
  4. Its actually a used mirror, but works like new (Sure a lot cheeper) No worries on the hijack.
  5. One of the nicest Sedans I have seen in a long time. Sits real good!
  6. I had a set of the SJR Adaptors, pretty cool stuff. Sold them to a dude on here for his Baja project.
  7. The wheels on that Brat are actually Trailer rims. Pretty cool. http://www.trailer-wheels.com/15-inch-White-Spoke-Trailer-Wheel-6-on-5-12_p_954.html&catid=272
  8. I find it outstanding this car has been owned by 3 other USMB members and now onto its forth. Original owner of this car from NC is MysteriousXT on here for shiz and gigz. The only think I would change would be the Nissan rims for Peugeot wheels or maybe even a five lug knuckle swap from an XT6. Lol, I have no drama over this car. Just keeping the facts straight.
  9. Dude, I'm not starting anything with you. Point is, you make it like the past owner was wrong to trade this car for something else, personally, I would have done the same thing if I were in that spot. end of story. I am glad this car is getting a much needed EJ swap.
  10. Better get your story straight instead of spreading false gossip. The Turbo Failed (Was getting cherry red) then a HG failed, the owner needed money to fix a roof, traded this car for a '89 Dodge Cummins Diesel which he flipped for the funds to repair the roof. Then moved on to the EJ chassis cars as they suite him better. I helped straighten out the wiring for the offroad lights on it, and also helped install both of those EMPI axles. The Nissan wheels were hogged out completely wrong and are a PITA to seat correctly. Originally, that car came from a member in NC, then to WI, then to northern peninsula.
  11. Don't forget, besides dropping front and rear cross members, you also need to drop the control arm mounting surface. 1x2 or 2x2 Square stock is a good start.
  12. Looks like thats where "you'll" die if you go check out that Brat lol. Thats a nice looking wagon, Are those Peugeot Oval hole rims?
  13. A new Vacuum solenoid from the dealer is only $50. I bought a new one some time back due to the Diaphragm failing and allowing ATF to enter the intake. Seeing as you're in Canada or Australia, I dunno how close your local deal is?
  14. That Novelty of even just owning the bed cover would be outstanding, Restore it and hang that puppy on a wall for art
  15. Hell yeah, I think you took the Lego rock crawling just last week right...?
  16. Might be, look at the trees and the people, they all look asian. Although, one Brat has an '80s Calif plate... hmmm?
  17. When you open the glove box (Bin as Chilton calls it lol) then gently squeeze in one side at a time (There should be a plastic stopper on the bin on each side of it) you want to pop that out of its grove so the bin swings down all the way. Then look at the hinges, there should be one philips screw holding each hinge to the dash. Then if you want to remove the liner from the dash (To get at any wiring) there should be a few screws or plastic clips holding that up. Cheers, -Tom
  18. XT6 anyone? Boiling water + ABS plastic =
