  1. Yeah I put bearing grease on everything as I would my cars. There was no noise until I go done driving it (So you know what that means Lol!) But really, I put the brakes on hard twice to see what happens, if the ABS kicks in or not and just get a good feel for them. Stops really nice now! As I PM'd Kara, I think the noise is a chunk of rust stuck somewhere or the backing plates that are pads moved when I was braking (As they only push on with bent tabs)
  2. I like the 3AT more so then the 4EAt in the Legacy, Even with over sized tires the EA82 gots up to 55 with less effort it seems, and it feels more direct. Don't knock the 3AT, it has never let me down.

  4. It was a $500 car when I bought it in 2006 and I have spent a lost count on it over the years. Specs: 1781cc SPFI EA82 90hp @ 5200rpm 101.ft.lbs tq @ 4800rpm 3-Speed AT S/R Pushbutton 4WD 3.900 GR. 2" SJR Lift 14" Pugs (Powercoated) 27" Maxxis Bighorns SJR Steal Rear Bumper Sylvania Silverstar Ultra 9004 Bulbs Retro-fitted a bunch of stuff from other Subarus. Front Bumper Lights are "Blazer Baja" brand and up top are Hella Comet 500s, The Fenders I bought new in 2007 from the dealer.
  5. Well, it was a $570 car back in 2006 when I bought it, I would say I have put a good $2,000 in over the years just making it better.

     

    The front lights are from Wal-Mart and those are Hella Comet 500s on top.

     

    Fenders I got back in '07 from the dealer for $200. I just spend $800 for hood and fenders repainted professionaly this march.

  6. Fox, know all the facts before making acusations. Everything I have listed For Sale on here is stuff I have had (Either stuff I have taken off TW10 or stuff I have bought and never used) That EA82 radio is the original from my Loyale. The only thing I kept from that load was a Headlight, that new front valance to keep from getting damaged, and that '83 Bike Rack as I wanted to see what it looked like put together. If you really have an issue and don't trust me, then why don't you come over here face to face and check it out, to see that I am not selling sh*t out from under you. I know Fox paided for all the goodies, but remember, who trucked this stuff all the way back and blew $40 in fuel (As I paid for the first and last fill up) I am going to give you that Valance, Headlight and your $50 back this weekend so I don't hear any pissing or moaning.

  9. Trust me, its about as good as you can get it. I have gave it hell. The whole structure is pushed back, I would need to take the light out and put a chain around the area and pull it out via tree.
  10. It is in my garage as I wasn't sure what the plan was for it, and I did not want it to get damaged sitting in the shop as things tend to do down there. When do you need the valance?
  11. Maybe if I get bord I could build up that area on TW10 with bondo and make it look better, but, why...? Clear coated the lower rear panel and rear door with "Rustolium crystal clear" as the NCS clear sucks (Its duller then the paint)
  12. There are no OHV trails around here, theres like one way up by Rhinelander so I've seen. thats about it, anything else would be illegel unless we know someone with private land. I would like to do some wheeling this year before its over!
  13. Well, Don Miller Subaru Show is on the 18th, so I have under 2 weeks to finish up the body work on my EA82. Basically I am down to the driver side which is the main amount of work. I am going to have to bust rump roast on it over the weekend and next week to get it done in time. Funny how time whips by when you are reluctant to do body work (Not my forte)
  14. Now, remember way back when, when we first did the brakes? I told you I thought the bleeding style they list was wrong! I was right! Also, some torque specs in these books are wrong for future refrence.
  15. You know of said "Wheeling" spots? Do tell! I would like to take the EA82 on some light offroading and enjoy the woods (The Legacy would be for the more harder core wheeling as if I dent it, BFD! And yes, Christmas in June!
  16. Fox, Go deebo Desmonds DSLR as he doesn't need it anymore Question for you, when you do paint the bottom another color, you are gonna clear coat it so its got a showroom shine, right?

  18. I wonder if THIS is the underlaying issue then, As the Hanyes book is wrong. Kara this is from the Factory Service Manual so it would be correct. How did you find that so quick?

You know, I have heard of this bleeding order a lot on here and I supposed that would have been correct, it seems in a Hanyes book, they say to bleed the system starting with RR, RL, FR, FL, I wonder if the Diagnal bleeding was only for the older Subarus. After all, GM owned part of Subaru in 2001 :-p
  20. Good point, but if you notice, the rubber tipped slide only fits in the top hole (And it was the same on both sides) the rubber tip slide must be a genuine part where as the other one was not.
  21. I for one don't think its a big deal, as everything "Should" be made to a Manufactures spec. I also don't know if that caliper bracket is aftermarket or not, it could be the original from 2001 and only the caliper was replaced. Maybe we need to re-bleed your brakes, But like my Dad said, if that side wasn't grabbing as hard, it would pull (To the left in your case) so I dunno
  22. Oh wow, yeah I thought I saw a different shade or color in your picture. (At least its not like Dodge paint in which flakes off to bare metal)
