  3. As long as the caliper is the same style (And it should be) then you can use your bracket, I bet there is something wrong with the pistons in yours. Maybe it was ran dry once and has now a build up of crap and making them get stuck after useage. If you get the caliper from NAPA, you might get an entire assembly (With bracket) don't quote me on that, but you might. Either way, as long as the new one you buy has the style where its two bolts that hold the caliper to the bracket then you are good to go. The other style will only have one bolt and the other end will just ride on a slide pin.
  4. As of today, I am replacing the rear axles boots. I have'em, and pop all 4 roll pins out, but now I need to devise a way to get the axles off the stubs, they are stuck. I also took the mastash bar off to restore it and add a little suprise.
  5. I'm not sure, if the problem does come back, then I would suspect that to be the culprit, theres nothing else left, and seeing how this was swap in from some hillbilly from Alabama, then maybe it is crap Let me know if there is any change in how it drives.

  7. Hope we got this thing fixed, but if it is indeed the caliper, I will help you bleed the brakes again, maybe I won't get it in my eye again. You can pump it while I releave the pressure HAHAHAHA!!

I would suggest runnning 1/4 or 1/2 can of Seafoam through the brake booster hose, it will suck it in through-out the intake system and clean out carbon build up and such, your Subaru will thank you for that as well. DO NOT, Put the seafoam in you're oil, you do not have ticking and if you change you're oil every 4,000 you won't get a build up of sludge on the lifters and such. If you want to run a little MMO in your oil that is fine. If you get to the point where you want to change plugs/wires, go with NGK. I'm not sure what plugs the EZ30 takes, are they the same as an EJ engine? (Kara, it should say in your owners manual) Change the Diff oils as I'm sure they have never been changed in the 118,000. Run a Genuine or WIX or NAPA oil filter, DO NOT, run Fram Oil filters, the internals are made of paper and could break down and chunks enter the oil system, clogging little oil passages. A few things that came to mind.

Thats the main point, These Subarus won't create a major failure (Unless you spin a bearing) Subarus are so damn easy to work on its outstanding, even your car Kara is easy to work on once you know what your looking at and how to get around without taking everything off. Take care of that H6 and open it up now and then, it'll last you with simple maintenance.
  10. Well, Tow-Bar'd a Brighton again today, this time with the larger 16" wheels, It put less load on the trans during take off and was more stable this time around. Larger wheels FTW with a 4:11 ratio.
  11. I really don't think it makes much difference which way you bleed them, as long as the air is getting worked out and you have pedel you're in good shape.

  16. Jon, what you just typed applies to ALL Subarus, even non-ABS 80s Subarus. This is what I told you when you were doing yours.
  17. Jon, I have drove Dan's Turbo Sedan after I did the Timing belt on it.
  18. Isn't engine-breaking with an Auto not the best idea for the trans? Even though I do it offen for fun Lol. I find that if I do it more then twice, the pressure climbs to much in the trans and ATF leaks out of the block-off cap where the Analong speed cable would go. (Yes '95-newer have a digital speed sender) I also find the car has more pull if you shift it manually. Huh.

  20. Been driving on Potenza G019s for the past two days, awesome tires, if this car was a 5spd, I would take it on the track and see what it can do.
  21. Ok, good to know about the bleeding, just figured I would ask. The hoses I have are the same as what you have Kara, I would swap this on, leave your rotor unturned and put new pads on and call it a day.
