  1. While I was looking at the rear diff cover on my '95 Outback, I noticed it was had a (3) stamped on it, where as Jboy's '95 Legacy has a (2) stamped on it. His car has the 4.11 gearing, so I am guessing mine is 3.90, is this correct, as his runs at a higher RPM at Highway speed. Both of these cars are 4EAT AWD. Also is there a 3rd Gear Ratio? Stampings (1) (2) (3) ?
  2. And getting back to Crystal's build, Looking forward to seeing this thing in once piece!
  3. I would not recommend using the scotch bright pad, as I've seen Desmond's Fiat and he had some orange peal and flews. I always use sand paper. But give it a try.
  4. So how were you able to mod the rear most mounting brace on the crossmember?
  5. What orange peal? If you sand down the body with 120grit, wipe it off with a clean rag, you'll be fine. I didn't do anything to the paint afterwards, except wipe it down with WD-40 to moist it up for sh*ts and gigs. Try it sometime and you would see.
  6. A Fine foam Roller and Rustolium paint, that is how Trashwagon10 has been painted, and everyone who sees it, can't tell. Smooth, Even, Easy.
  7. When you get the new shoes on, test fit the rotor before putting it all the way on, you will want just a little bit a friction, adjust the star wheel as needed to give you right amount. Same rule would apply on a rear drum vehicle.
  8. Yeah I would get new hardware too, the springs will most likely last, its the holddown pins which rust out, if those go, can I say "Lock-Up" Check out Rockauto, its $15 for the hardware Kit and I forgot how much for all 4 shoes.
  9. Just like Drum brakes on an old Subaru. And how do you wear this down anyhow? To me it would seem impossible unless your using it for braking when your MS starts leaking!
  10. Whoops! I thought it was a 3AT? Either way its still Pushbutton
  11. Here is another one. Jon, THIS is why I take pictures of everything, someone may need information in which the photo contains.
  12. Subaru Alliance Shopday #15 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UewOa1FPFBg
  13. Hope those weren't Calven Kleins that got ruined Good luck with healing up, if your not already.
  14. That car is up in the air right now as to whats gonna happen with it. There is an '89 Touring Wagon for $2,700 in Milwaukee. Also 1 almost rust free '90 Legacy sedan for $400 with a bad HG. Milwaukee Craigslist.
  15. Yeah, I agree. I am gonna shut-up about it now. Back on topic!
  16. I would rather work on a Carbed or FI 350 then Datsun Inline-6. Plus Ferrari used a GM 350 in their Daytona. And its a 500c.i Keith Black power plant or nothing
  17. I have seen that a few times already! Try a 350 in a First Gen Legacy. Its on youtube
  18. Coolant Temp Sensor FTW, I said it a few days ago way before he posted the thread. I have a used one in my tool box that we're gonna try. Cam/Crank sensors would cause a no start issue even if the engine is ice cold.
  19. Road Salt! ROAD SALT! Let me tell you a thing or two about road salt, people on the west coast could not comprehend what true rust is! You and I both know what "Rust" is Connie gets a for bringing up L.B again!
  20. Hope to hear more about this soon! '78 Datsun, you must like cars with multible coils huh? ;p
  21. LMAO! Yeah, they ruin your track day, when they whoop yo-rump roast cause they drive better then you. (Which can not be said for Danica Patrick, as she couldn't even beat a 5 y.o with a losing streak)
