  1. Fixed a rusted hole in the rear 1/4 today.
  2. You just need to take a laptop with you everywhere to keep up :-p
  3. Well any Electronicly controlled Transmission is gonna be better then a Trans that relies only on the pressure of fluid to shift. The 4EAT is a rock solid trans for sure and really isn't bad to drive, The car has enough pick-up, given the engine puts out enough torque. I'm still a fan of the 3AT though! (Let the flaming begin)
  4. What The Subaru Alliance has been up to recently. Rescued a '86 3-Door. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_x217UgBNsY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YmJqtXwmdcI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7EM7UE0-J0k
  5. You will have to chop the crossmembers and make a hybrid I would think to work on the EA chassis. You would have to make a custom EA82 crossmember as your control arms bolt to that.
  6. I kinda like the Idea of going totally AWD with the Loyale, it would be the first in WI and might be the first on here. That thing will be sooo fast with the EJ25 and 4EAT it wouldn't be funny lol! Just expect to make your own parts and have the be down for a bit.
  7. Depends, some are 3.9 and some are 4.11 - I think all the newer ones are 4.11 I think its also effected by being an AT or MT as to weather its a 3.9 or 4.11
  8. Welcome! Glad you got over here! Obsolutly love all the pictures there mate. Blocks of wood for Jackstands? Thats scary!
  9. It can be done, Are you gonna bolt the 4EAT to the EA82? The only thing I could see being an issue is, Driveshaft lenth, and the wiring for the TCU and AWD stuff. Other then that, it should bolt up pretty close, you will need to customize the EJ crossmembers to work, but I think it could be done somewhat easy with mild difficulty.
  10. Awesome! I dunno why non of started one of these on here sooner. Fox, I stopped at the shop today since I was in town picking up the u-haul hitch. Shmous was there working on his bike, so I kinda left Lol! I see the whole front suspension assy is out of the XT6. and the 3-door is turned around. I will tag along to Clint's friday, I have to give him some CDs anyway. What are we taking up there, the baby wagon? I might as well car-pool with ya. I changed the oil in TW10 and installed a U-haul hitch today.
  11. Now installed a U-haul (aka Curt) trailer hitch, and all white Dash lights. And changed the oil at 213,600.
  12. Put a U-haul trailer hitch on my Legacy today. Fits right, fits tight up in the back of my outback slinging sh*t right!
  13. I drove the hell outta mine today, 180 mile round trip, From Waukesha to Milwaukee, to Madison, back to Milwaukee, then back to Waukesha.
  14. Just noticed, but this is the first time I have seen a GL without the side moldings saying "Subaru" on them. Did the letter ware off, or did it never have them?
  15. Winch lift blade, do they even make those anymore? Everything uses Hydraulic rams now days. I also find this funny, the same crowd who posts in the Trashwagon thread, post in here too. We're like a big happy family
  16. Yeah there is something fishy going on here. Theres no way there could be $10,000 in damage to that thing if he drove it away (Unless you hit a bugatti). Don't get suckered into anything, I would maybe talk to a good attorney if you can.
  17. Might just have to join the masses and do a rear disc conversion on mine sometime soon.
  18. I don't think he painted the Rotor, looks like it might be a reflection from the camera's flash. If you did paint the Rotor, you are gonna have some extreme shuttering while braking.
  19. Bennie how goes it mate!? Glad you got out from the AUS board and joined us on here, thanks for the comments, I think this car is looking right proper now with the fitting tyres and all. Cheers and don't be a stranger, -Tom
  20. So, where can you buy new rear axles for the EA82? I notice the guys out in Washington bust axles all day and just swap others in, but where do they get'em? Thanks for any info, -Tom
