  1. Are we talking about EA82 cars? Cause from what I know, GL-10/GL/DL/Loyale all have clear coat standard. A lot of the West-cost guys post about it flaking off and seems to be a common thing. As for EA81s and older, yea I know theres no clear on those. Thats why if you don't keep it waxed it'll oxidize pretty quick.
  2. I do wonder how much it would cost to get just a hood repainted in 947? I need to get mine repainted badly, the clear is flaking off (As subaru clear seems to do) but its the only place on the car.
  3. If you take it to a good body shop they will be able to match the color. There should also be a sticker on the strut tower or door jam with the 3# Paint code.
  4. But remember, all tire manufactures have "Their Own" idea of what 28" is. So you could by a 225/70R16 from BFG or a 225/70R16 from Dunlop, one tire might be a little bigger then the other.
  5. I think someone would enjoy this: Die-cast XT6 Alcyone. http://cgi.ebay.com/1-43-AOSHIMA-DISM-SUBARU-ALCYONE-4WD-VR-TURBO-XT-VORTEX-/130447579561?pt=Diecast_Vehicles&hash=item1e5f4819a9#ht_500wt_914
  6. But I wouldn't want to convert my EA82 to electric - I like the sound of a good old Boxer. And I think that would take away from driving a Subaru. We will see, I don't think this is going to fly with to many car enthusiasts.
  7. Check out General Grabber AT2s. Pretty decent tire. I plan on getting a set for my Legacy (Trashwagon10) BFGoodrich makes a simular looking tire "BFG All-Terrian T/A" -Tom
  8. I gave you your answer in my first post. The stiffeners are screwed threw the roof with metal screws, and is also sealed with some type of sealant. If your car doesn't have the rails, you can make a small hole, get some short self tapping metal screws, and then just before you screw them in, put some Black RTV in the hole and then screw your rails on. No worries about leaks.
  9. I have a question: Does anyone know if XT6 Seat Headrests will fit onto EA82 seats? Are the posts the same width apart or are they wider like the EJ seats? -Tom
  10. Fox, how did that go btw? That Legacy was pretty damn rusted under there. SubaruAlliance, +1 with the Anti-Seize. Thats the stuff.
  11. Whoops, thought it side 245! Well then what 215s or 205s? Dunno what kind of sport tires your gonna find in that width?
  12. You need to to some wicked camber like the JDM guys Lol... Yeah thats a close shave. Looks cool though, I bet 225s would have fit.
  13. Yep I have a full set, And the opening on the Wheels is to small DAMN!
  14. What have you used for center caps on Peugeot Steel wheels? Are there any aftermarket caps that fit the opening? -Tom
  15. Your in IN? Well I've noticed the going rate for a good runner first gen Legacy around here is about $500-1200 if the body isn't totally rotted $1500. But with 200k+ I'd say about $1200 at most.
