  1. Yeah! I bought the HP #74s thinking thats what the 4 big bulb sockets were. I think the HP 194s will fit in the hole, its way deep enough. Yea cost is something to consider.
  2. Lol, I replaced the larger dash bulbs with those small ones you have (Guess I bought the wrong ones) they still work just fine though. How come you didn't get the HP ones for the larger bulbs?
  3. So? Take your kin when they need to go - and change the bulbs in the parking lot MilesFox style yo! I'm a fan of working on my car in parking lots Good luck dude.
  4. The Speed-o is the only gauge with the green and white. the Tach is all Green. Post a pic of the gate light sometime! I'm not much into tint.
  5. I just ordered some more bulbs, 2 for the Maplights in the Loyale and 1 for the Dome light in the Legacy. What do you think about the green and white? I like how the White kicks in right at 80mph.
  6. Replaced a front axle today, CVJ was knocking like mad (Could feel it even driving straight) I replaced it with another used axle I had, I disassembled the replacing axle and cleaned it with Diesel and re-greased it with "Blue Grease" Can't find the Black Industrial grease anymore WTF? No more knocking nor clicking! Awe So smooth now. It only took me about 20min to swap axles today, I rebuilt the axle the night pryer.
  7. He's to slow at it! I can have it out in like 3-min. I've taken pretty much the entire dash apart 3 times and have taken the entire dash out once in another Legacy. I didn't get those LEDs, I bought other ones (Still wedge style) I will post a pic when I get the bulbs in (Whenever they come)
  8. What are you trying to do? You'd only need 4 bulbs to change your gauge cluster color - the other bulbs are only for the dummie lights/Blinkers etc. I just ordered Green HP-LEDs for mine, only cost $14 plus shipping.
  9. Check out superbrightleds.com under the Auto -> Gauge Wedge Bulbs. Cheep, $2 a bulb. and they are just push in wedge bulbs.
  10. Yes, only the gauge lights up. It just looks goofy in the picture lol! I kinda want to change the lights now, Green will be much cooler! (Not ricer green either)
  11. The only thing annoying with the lights is they need to be brighter, The color seems nice, I might change them to Green if I go the LED route. Also, the Tach and Speed-o light up - its not only being shined on.
  12. What? Foreground? There are 4 larger bulbs (194s I think?) that light up the Tach and Speed-o along with shining down into the clutster. Then there are a series of very small bulbs that light up the indicator lights and help light up the gauges.
  13. Looking forward to some pics! :)

  14. Pretty much anything you find for a (1985-'94) GL, DL, RX, or Loyale will work for you. Only changes would be Turbo, Carb, SPFI, and a 5spd with or without Duel-Range. You also have a 3.9 Gear ratio.
  15. So then really, whats the point on saving the shaft? Why not just buy a new shaft aswell - then you might aswell just buy a complete axle Lol. Well then maybe I won't rebuild the two extra axles I have, I will just disassemble and clean and re-boot. As for EMPI, where would you find them? I will do a little research on the net, do you order them right from them online or what? Cheers and thanks guys! -Tom
  16. I'm gonna rebuild one of my axles on the Legacy (25t axle) I need to find an online retailer that sells the correct bearings for the DOJ and the oblong bearings for the CVJ. Anyone have links to axle rebuild store sites? I think this has been touched or brought up once or twice but can't find anything on it. -Tom
  17. Desmond Jone's '86 Brat 5spd D/R (Interference) EJ22 swap.
  18. Alright, I found out something new about the Diff Stub, that ring with the fins on it screws on. You can use a decent size plain screwdriver and a hammer and tap it tighter if its somewhat loose (Might be your noise) I noticed on yours there is no stopper which would screw to a threaded hole along side of the ring, not having that could cause it to loosen up over time. I also found out that in order to change the stub bearing you would have to pull the trans and split the case to get the stub out. BUT, there is a sleeve behind that ring with the fins which could be worn. Just an idea on something to check -Tom
  19. I can give you some tips on posting and posting pictures. To post Pictures: If you go to Photobucket.com and open a free account, you can then make an photo album, upload the picture file off ur PC (Where ever you saved them) then once you upload them, you will see on the side of your image there are some link codes, the last link code is called "IMG" copy that IMG code and post it into where you type on here. Let me know if I need to explain more (I'm happy to) To Quote sections of Posts: At the bottom of any post there is a "Quote button" click that and it will open a text window with all the text in it, then whatever you do not want, just erase it. at the beginning and end of the quoted text you will see a small code that looks like this "[ QUOTE ]" and this "[ /QUOTE ]" Don't erase either of these or the quote won't happen (It'll just show normal text) So if your gonna quote something and want to type above or below the quoted text, just write your text before this "[ QUOTE ]" OR after this "[ /QUOTE ]" - notice the end quote has a "/" backslash. PM me or post in here if you want me to talk more about this Haha. I wasn't really too savvy with this online or computer stuff, but after years of getting into it (Due to USMB and Other Car fourms) I have gained sooo much outta this! One rule on here, Don't Be Afraid To Ask For Help. Thats what this place is for and thats why we are all here. Also, yeah I'm pretty much free any day of the week untill about 4-5pm. I always free on Weekends - do you have any plans this weekend? I'd be able to meet up if ur free. -Tom
  20. You know what, the closer I look at it - I think he and you are right. At a glance I though it was a 70s Star or 1000 or something. But yeah I see it now. Rick, Can you PM me a picture of one of these hatches? I keep finding photos of the newer style ('84 and up)
  21. Not hard on the eyes atall, kinda soothing (Kinda dim though) I might change them to LEDs. Painting clear bulbs doesn't work great on low watt bulbs.
