New WI Suby owner!
TheLoyale replied to dancindan85's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
When is the next Don Miller? Next year? Anyhoo, we do meets out in Waukesha and Milwaukee pretty much any weekend. Theres a thread on Dirtyimpreza.com in which we all keep in touch and see whats going on and when. Maybe something you'd be interested in checking out? Pictures I snapped of your car: -

Cool, glad you found USMB I should have brought my '95 with 208,000 on it. At least there would have been two Legacy wagons. -
Question about bigger wheels on my '85 BRAT (GL):

Don't forget about the 14.5" wheel and the 504 with the strange center - tire shops can't balance it unless they have a special fitting. -

Are you the guy that was at Don Miller's subaru meet? Subaru Heaven is on Hy18 and hy 12 out in Cambridge, WI. About 20 miles from madison. Easy enough to get to, and he might have some things for the 2nd gen Legos. Power entenna, eh doubt it as there weren't alot of Legacys with the power entenna (At least in WI) -

Subaru and Peugeot wheels are 4x140. You can always drill out some old GM 6 lugs to fit the 4x140 too You can check out the wheels page link in the above toll bar "Subarus Of The 80s" and it'll show you all the wheels which are 4x140. Noticed your in Madison too, you should really bring the Brat down to Waukesha or Milwaukee sometime as we all have meets. Desmond Jones has an '86 Brat with an EJ22 swap in it. -Tom -
About 16" inchs.

But its fun when the Cops look at you all the time, Haven't gotten pulled over yet I read this wrong the first time Lol! But really, I know Ben. I'm not offended or anything.

Thanks guys, but really - how's a Red lifted EA82 with roof rack and big tires incognito? Lol. Well if you need help with stuff, I'll make the trip up there, Marshfeild isn't to far of a drive.
-
Thanks, I think so too. Red Legacy/Outbacks are like running into spiders in a corn field (They are all over) The car stands out in a parking lot Wait till I lift it and get larger tires!

To hell with the STi, get your self a Nice Loyale I like mine

No ones bought it yet! C'mon people, keep this car with the USMB family.

Maybe its cause you have always ran a muffler? I started out with cutting the muffler off (Big improvement) but then I wanted to have the rumble even more pronounced and see if I could increase engine responce and power so thats why I bought the header. Maybe it also has something to do with the slightly smaller displacement "Duel Port EJ22" Vs. "Duel Port EJ25' Were any Turbos?

Awesome! Glade you still have it Connie, Don't give up on it. And of you ever do, ship that bad boy up to WI for MilesFox or Me would really enjoy it -Tom Good luck with it! -
Everything was rolled with the finest foam rollers I could find. Doesn't look rolled btw
-
My low-end isn't hurt as the new header is only 1.5" ID. So I still have low-end/take off power, A larger diameter header would allow for more top-end highway power, but you will have little to no low-end (As you said) If I were to hollow out of delete the cats on this car I might gain more power (But might throw more codes?) I still have that P0420 Cat code cause I haven't spaced the O2 sensor back yet. As for Struts, yep same time. I have the springs but haven't had the cash to order the KYB-GR2 struts. Maybe this coming friday night I can order the Struts! When I get bored I might look into that Air box thing, Now a Snorkel would be wild! Finished up the paint today: and if anyone is wondering about the paint scheme, check out www.Trashwagon.com I know MilesFox.

The engine performs great with the new header and no muffler, a lot more open feeling, really feel the power if you wind it out in 2nd (Yes its an 4EAT with passing gear) This car doesn't have Outback struts, it has the Legacy struts/springs. I will get measurements anyway. Why would I want to remove the resonator from the air box? Here is a video of what it sounds like. Yes I got it air born in this video (Landing was hard) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3U1-7l8wDqI

More progress on the Paint scheme. '98-01 Forester Springs came in yesterday.
