  1. Yes, I've seen many - many pictures of EA82 Leones. Just search for Subaru Leone on google and you'll see them, some of the Leone's were FT4WD
  2. Wow nice find indeed! I sooo want a Genuine key instead of this SR5 brand one. Dealer said its like $60 bucks! Some day. Nice score again! -Tom
  3. The Leone's were mainly in Japan, the GL was more popular in AUS (aka L-series) and from what I've seen they were still made till '94 along with the Brumbys. But I guess the likelyhood of anyone importing one to the U.S would be rare when you can just get a Loyale or a late 80s GL here. It would help if the owner would give you a picture since he seems unsure. -Tom
  4. What are the odds the owner bought a imported GL from Australia or the U.K that another owner imported? Since both countrys used the "GL" name till '94 (The last of the EA82s) And yes, even a GL imported could have left hand drive (I've seen a few GLs on the Aussie board that were still LHD) So this could be a possability aswell. -Tom
  5. Hmm, I know what you mean. I have something kinda simular with mine. Most of the time if you are leaving a parking lot then need to get out onto the road and give it the gas - it seems bog in a way for a sec or two then the power is there. Also sometimes if you punch it from a dead stop it feels as if not all the power is there untill 2000 or more. I don't understand it lol. The only thing I havn't cleaned is the IAC. SO I dunno ? Good luck with the T-belts (Its easy enough) -Tom
  6. Because TRD sounds cool Nice looking Rex - to bad SUBARU didn't bring these to the U.S market. -Tom
  7. Aha! Thanks Twitch. I wasn't sure if anyone made LED or brighter bulbs in that style, they are the type that push in. Thanks again! -Tom
  8. You will a little diffrence with the NGKs over a cheep brand or Bosh ect - I notied a pretty big difrence when I change over to NGK a few years ago. How new is your fuel filter? Its up by the wiper motor on the drivers side - thats something else that is mostly over looked when having poor idle. -Tom
  9. One general question: Even with new 12v 5w bulbs - and vehicle running its still yellowish. Why? I think it should be a little whiter eh? Maybe I'm wrong?
  10. Hmm, how are the plugs? Could be giving you a non-consistant spark once in a while (Thats just a guess) Also the cap might be arcing causing burning on the posts of the Cap. Have you replaced, cap, rotor, plugs/wires as of yet? I'd go with NGK BPR6ES plugs and NGK wires for starters. -Tom
  11. Well at least he has it right, Attack the idea not the person LMAO! -Tom
  12. Hey that would be a slick idea! Sounds like a pain to run the wires but, yea a good idea. I already have the switchs on the gear-shift cover though I'll just put a sticker on the plate :-p -Tom
  13. Right, thanks for the refresher Sorry for the rambling about other vehicles Lol -Tom
  14. Still looks cool anyway! Haha a 510 buggy! that would be kewl. btw, whats that wagon in the last pictrue? Can't see emblem, but looks like an Eagle emblem? -Tom
  15. Installed the Gray GL maplight and wiring yeasterday, I messed up my headliner a little (Wasn't sure where to start cut" oh well, I'm gonna make a little thing out of sheet metel - cut it a little bigger then the light so it covers up that mess up, I'll paint it gray so it matches. I'm not going to make the plate any longer then the light, but a little wider to hide the mistake cuts. -Tom
  16. Sweetness Bill! That Camber is spot on, awesome. I like the orange oil pan! Side note: Whats with the Datsun 510/Bluebird wagon? You should lift that even though its RWD! Would look cool Nice progress man, -Tom
  17. Could be the IAC, For starters - check its connection first and clean it. also clean the Coolant temp sensors plug tag connection (Its right on the housing for the Thermostat - maybe even use some of that connection jelly. Also, you can have the engine suck about 1/2 can of SeaFoam thru the Brake booster hose - let the engine stall on it, let it sit for 15 or 20min then re-fire. The Seafoam will eat away any grim that could be clogging any air passages and such. And yes, all the white smoke coming out of the exhaust will be normal for a few minutes (Let it all blow out) and see if this helps your ideling issue - if not its still a good idea to do this. As for the other half of the can, just poor it into your fuel tank to clean the fuel system aswell. -Tom
  18. Glad you found what you were looking for Bob. Good luck on the hunt for wheels Cheers, -Tom
  19. Yes this has been covered about a week or so ago, but we can go over this a little more The Peugeot 505 had a range of wheels in 14" - 3 diffrent steel styles and 3 Alloy styles - then there are the 15" alloy wheels (only one or two styles IIRC, both spoke styles) But anyway, I would go with the 14" alloys if you are able to find them in the yard, they look pretty nice. You can see pictures off all the 4x140 wheels at the link on top of the page "Subarus of the 80s" as for tires with out a lift. the biggest you would want to go is 205/75/R14s (26" overall diameter) - as for the 15" wheels, I'm not sure on tire size, but I dout you will be able to find those wheel fairly easy anyway. I have the 505 Steel round holes on my wagon. the other two styles are rectangle or ovel holes. Hope this bit of info helps you -Tom
  20. Ooo bright Orange it even better! What brand paint did you use - Rustolium I assum? I think it may withstand the heat. The pan doesn't really get to hot - I can still tought mine after driving high speeds for a distance. So we'll see haha. -Tom PS: I'm also color blind to some shades - So it might just be me lol.
