  1. EA81, I think its a better engine all around. Personaly I don't think of the EJs as being good wheeling motors, So yep, my vote is EA81.
  2. Thanksaroo Ben! Getting there, huh. The bumper really ties the rest of the car together. Looks more rugged, plus I can use all this stuff (Not just for looks) -Tom
  3. Nothing, but this kinda reminds me of the mid-90s Imprezas and Legacys steering wheel. (You know, the all black interior with the leather seats and cool steering wheel) Thats all. -Tom
  4. Aha Bingo! Well after doing some detailed searching I found what wagon this wheel is in and also the owner is on AUSubaru! So I contacted him about it and see what he knows and what he might be able to tell me. From what I see, its a 2" lifted EA82 wagon, I dunno if it was an aussie thing or not, but this wagon says "Enduro" on the rear and the entire car is white, even the door pilars. I am hopeing he can tell me somethings of this wheel, and maybe has or knows someone with an extra one that is will to sell it. I'll post back here with any info I receive from him, also his ID on AUSubaru is "fang" incase someone on here knows him -Tom
  5. GD, yea I heard momo stopped making them for the EA82s. I really like the wheel I posted up, I'll have to do some searching I guess :-\ Wallaby, that ones looks good. Need to change out that Mitsu center hehe. Subarule, this is a good idea. But the only hard part of contacting places out of the U.S which don't use english is reading the webpage and most time they don't reply (Maybe their in the same boat) I wish someone had a PN (Part Number) maybe then my dealer could locate/order one..? -Tom
  6. I was thinking it was RHD, since the heater controls are on the wrong side. Damn, everything thats good is in Japan :-p What do you think the chances are someoneon here has one and wants to sell it? Slim to non probably. Thanks Brian
  7. I ran across this picture while seraching for Subaru pics, and I notice it was on a EA82! So I'm wondering if anyone has any info on this style of wheel, what its off of or did it come as an option? I noticed this has to be a GL or an RX due to all the extras on the dash. Anyone have one of these they want to sell? I would like one -Tom
  8. Whats even worse is its the passenger side wheel "The Power wheel" So not having any braking on the side is 2 x as worse as just having one brake in front. Plus, then you have to worry about breaking the brake line since they are old. Also, whats keeping the piston from completly coming out? Nothing, so the moment you hit the brakes that piston is going to push all the way out and I just hope your not driving when it does.. Those are the bad ideas with this idea. -Tom
  9. Ben I thought the pistons just pressed back into the caliper? I havn't done brakes on my car yet (My dad did back in '06) so I thought he used a c-clamp. But I do remember him saying something about having to turn it. OK, thanks for the refresher! -Tom
  10. Hmm, thats a good thought. To me I think the piston should still be able to return somewhat/mostly even if the seal was jaming it. I mean if its sticking hard enough to chew up the pad(s) then thats alot of force. My dads '93 Ranger had the drivers side get stuck and you could feel it alot if you put the clutch in (No need to apply brakes) Hehe. BUt it got that stuck due to lack of grease. You could fry a steak on that wheel Wow! -Tom
  11. Also, I would check the piston for extream rust. Use a C-clamp to push the piston back in and see how it feels while its sliding back into the caliper. -Tom
  12. I don't see how being a little low on brake fluid could make your caliper not to return fully. Have you checked/greased the pin(s) which the caliper slids on? if those get dry and start to rust that can casue sticking. What side is the brake sticking on? Drvier/passenger? -Tom
  13. Huh, thats the first.. Cool find! probably talking about a Legacy:rolleyes: -Tom
  14. I put 6gal of gas in for $15 today, now its over full. I was at half tank line. I had to drive in the rain :-p -Tom
  15. So the EA82 style was around in Japan since 1981, wow! I never understood the fender mirrors, but they look neat Thanks JesZek, -Tom
  16. Yea the 4spd would be nice, maybe you could pass cars on the interstate with out flogging it. Anyone have a picture of what that button attachs to? -Tom
  17. Mine was removed sometime in the cars life from the other owner(s). I don't understand how you could override that button? Cause mine will shift out of park with out a key. How could someone have rigged it to work that way, GD? I don't see anything tampered with under that cover, hmmmm? -Tom
