  1. That was the main reason I figured it could be hard on seals, Degreaser! But it still is Petroleum based, and it doesn't eat the bands in the tranny, so I guess. Yep, I remember that one. ATF/Acetone mix is your friend hehe. -Tom
  2. You know, I've only seen one Subaru with tracks, it was an EA81 hatch IIRC, it was awesome!

They make street legal tracks? I have got to see this (Link?)

Outbacks are cool, but its no old gen! Lifted old gens look better for some reason, it fits better. I dunno. Beleive it or not, but this has been the ONLY Soob I've driven :( Funny huh lol.

  3. I just got my muffler wedsdays! Doesn't look like the one on the box though, oh its a turbo no dout, but the only raised letting is the "Cherry Bomb" name, it doesn't say Turbo like the picture on the box, plus the one on the box is polished.. Oh well. lol.

Now if i ever getit up and welded, something new popped up tonight. Well as I was driving, the passenger side down pipe where its welded to the cat, well the welds seemed to all be gone and I have a small gap and its loud as hell. SO, i'm gonna brase it tomorrow, easiser then tryign to weld it. I just can't beleive the welds are gone! must have rotted off, but geez. boy does it have a rumble now! Sounds kinda crappy though (Too much air sound) I'll prolly buy a new down pipe/y-pipe section next year, along with new studs (The bottoms of mine are totaly crap) what the chances these will come out of the block with out to many issues? if I break one off I'm F'ed. btw, how do you scew in the new studs with out damaging the threads?

  4. If the 4WD light on the dash works, then the switch is responding. now since the 4WD system depends on Vaccum, take a look at the Vaccum Modulator down on the passenger side of the tranny, it has a vaccum line that runs from the intake to that vaccum componet. if that go's bad, sometimes it'll suck tranny fluid in to your air intake and cause a ton of white smoke (Untill it drains your tranny pan) but it can also just have a vaccum leak, cause there is a small L-shaped line that runs from the vaccum modulator to the metel tubing that connects farther up to another Peice of Vaccum line that runs to your intake manifold. Just something to check out. If you need a new one, you can get one from the dealer for like $40 last time I checked. -Tom
  5. Yep, I havn't used ATF and oil mix but it sounds like it works. How hard is it on seals? You can leave SeaFoam in for a few miles aswell. Cause it doesn't destroy the oil, SeaFoam has alot of patroliums (Spelling) in it, thats why Deep Creep works so well on bolts and the like. -Tom
  6. Yes this is 100% true, I forgot to add this. it is still good to run a flush, just to get any built up crap out of the engine. -Tom
  7. Wow 6" already, Hell yeah! Blow those Jeep guys out of the mudd :) 5k is alot of money, but it's worth it.

Lol I won't, Probably never get a Lego anyway :( Theres like no older gens around here!! Its all 95s and up. WHY!!!!!!

    Haha,

    -Tom

  8. Not sure if we have Wynn's Products here but, a motor flush is a motor flush. When you changed the oil after that how much gunk came out in the oil (If you remember) another product you can see if you guys have in Australia is Marvel's Mystory Oil (MMO) you add it to you oil (Do not over fill) And leave it in till next change, it does seem to help the lifters after a few uses (I don't run it anymore) it also replenishes any seals. And yep, you can just sit and hold it at rev and the oil pressure will increse, it may not have the same effect since the there is no load on the engine, but give it a try if you feel -Tom
  9. Oh cool! yea those are big plans (Alot of time) A EA81TT !! Thats gonna cook (In a good way lol) are you gonna get any type of performance wheels after most of that? your plans sound wicked, Can't wait to see the progress.

Swapping trannys on a newer gen ain't like doing them on the old boys. But the important thing is, you got it done and are driving it!

Anyhoo hope your plans go smoothly,

    -Tom

  10. Hmm, this is a good thought. I know some Throwout bearings can make a ton of racket, (dry Metel screaming type sound, Knocking, clunking ect..) Do you feel any shudders in the clutch when you release it so it starts to grab? -Tom
  11. Yay! I just got my Cherry Bomb Turbo today Looks good, can't wait to gett'er on! the part number is 7703 if anyone is interested for whatever reason. I'll snap a picture of it tomorrow (Later today) I just need to think on how to weld it, dunno if I need like an adaptor type peice of pipe that go's from 1-7/8" or whatever the pipe size is, into a 2" so I can weld, heck, the stock pipe on my muffler looks pretty big (Almost 2") so I might be able to weld the new muffler to it with out a pipe adaptor thing...? Hmm!! -Tom
  12. Nice lookin' Brat! That Lego in the backgound looks good aswell. Any plans on the Brat?

  13. Good god, I'm sorry I ever clicked this thread. I read every post in here and someone has a server lack of respect to us USMB(ers) I see alot of ignorance all day, but this just topped it. one tip for you boy, these people giving you advice areNOT full'o $hit, they speak the truth. Try reading up on things and become more wise on certon aspects of which we are speaking of. -Tom
  14. Lol your being mean Hehe! If you want to be that way then I don't want to see it then :-p But seriosly, it would be kind of you to take a picture before the show -Tom
  15. Oh! their welded to the arms, I get it now. Thanks Scott.

  16. Awesome, I had to buy mine new ($250) Good god!

I'm glad to see others do use that rack, not just me.

    -Tom :)

  17. Hmm, yes I'm not clear on this either? I thought you were going with a basic scoop, but it looks like a huge sheet metel box? Shaker is a good question... hmm? Rob, if you are gonna wait till WCSS. please PM a picture to us who are not able to come Well, we'll see all in good time his vision. -Tom
  18. Okay dokay, Thank you! now when you said "Weld over instead of In" you mean if I fit the muffler pipe over the 2" inlet on the new muffler it'll give it more sound. It would also be more free flowing, cause any edges would be smooth so the air would past over it more easily. My dad has a pipe Expander, but I dunno if the pipe will stretch enough?

We'll see when I get it in person,

    -Tom :)

  19. Hey, just wanted to say thanks for telling me about the Turbo muffler. Mine should be hear in a week (Has to be drop shipped from Cherry Bombs warehouse) I guess Full Line Exhaust was out.

Anyhoo, Could you get a picture of where the mid and muffler meet on urs? Just wanted to see what you did :) Whenever..

    Later,

    -Tom

  20. Shean, Is that a Surco Safari basket on ur wagon? Looks like mine thats why I ask, Dunno why I noticed that (But ya know) Hehe..

    -Tom :)

  21. Rob, are you gonna clean up your cut before you stick the scoop on? Anyhoo lookin' awesome! -Tom
  22. Bolt/Nut question, ok the 4 Nuts for the rear bumper are accessible from inside the rear compartment. But what keeps the bolt from turning when loosening them nuts? Is the bolt tac welded to the uni-body or what? Also I would assume the bolts need to come out so the bumper pillars can slide out of the uni-body, Just was curious, Sure I can figure it out Hehe :)

    -Tom
