  1. Wow, nothing to cover here.. GD explaind it well (As always) , and mostly this is the leak. Hope the HGs go easy and you get'er back together! btw, we havn't seen either of your L-series yet, Pictures please!! -Tom
  2. Hmm, well once you take off the oil pump I would have replaced the two o-rings and then of course the micky gasket. those two o-rings might be leaking since they were tamperd with by removing the oil pump. its best to just replace those aswell. Anyhoo, Also since you were in their how did the area around the cam sprockets look? Fresh/wet oil? There are two seals on each for each cam. one is pressed into the cam carrior cap and the other is a thin o-ring. Also the crank seal may be leaking aswell. A quart every 2 weeks seems a bit much in my mind. Mine still leaks a little oil (About 1/4 a month depending on how much driving I do) it doesn't leak enough to drip on the ground so thats pretty minor. -Tom
  3. Oooo pictures! Well at least if you are gonna sell it to your brother, its still in the family I wouldn't sell it though (But thats me ) Connie, like everyone else said. Who cares what others say and think. Whom ever is telling you such is Ignorant in my book. Its a awesome car, restore it and love it after all "Love, its what makes a Subaru, a Subaru" don't sell it cause of what people say... Anyhoo, again to Crayola: Awesome find and I like that HTKYSA find Lol Best'O luck, -Tom
  4. Wow $200! Nice grab, it does look like LB lol. Interior and Engine pics? -Tom
  5. Oops, yes the 22RE does (I made an error) Anyhoo the new FJs motor doesn't have a disty, it has a coil type thing on each plug wire that leads onto the manifold.. My dad was supprized with that.. -Tom
  6. Oh hes swapping motors, ok yeah.. way easier to do seals and belts with it out (of course) I thought you were thinking on pulling the engine just for that small job, pardon my ignorance Bill :-p -Tom
  7. There are two T-belts on the EA82, I wouldn't pull the engine just to do some cam seals/O-rings and belts (Overkill) Just remove the grill, rad, and fan and then the 3 timing covers and you'll have enough room to do what you need. if the belts havn't broke and havn't skipped a tooth, then while everything is attached (Belts) And turn the engine so on the two Cam sprockets one Dot is "Up" and the other is "Down" then when removing the belts do not turn the Crank, or Cams this way the Timing is still set correct and their is no need to retime it.. Thats all only if the belts have not broke or skipped a tooth.. -Tom
  8. So the EJ18 has those plug wires with their own (Forgot what their called) Toyota 22RE had that setup and so does the new FJ... No disty (Strange Lol)
  9. Haha! You think thats cool, you should see mine! Its a 6" Spot and Flood light that plugs into the AC outlet.. I'll get a pic this weekend.. PS: Mine runs Halogen bulbs. -Tom
  10. With a 3" you should be able to run 27-28" with no problems, you may still need to trim the front fenders due to turning clearances.. Now keep in mind with any Lift higher then 2" the steering shaft that go's to the steering box will need to be longer, since the 3" and up will require using Crossmember blocks, droping the engine 2" or so inches to keep the stress on the axles closer to stock. Anyhoo, I run SJRs 2" lift with 26" tires (Works great) anything over 28" on the auto trans and it'll start lagging. Best'O luck -Tom
  11. Oh so thats where hes been! Anyhoo, a "Sammy" Windshield? Suzuki Samiri? 5-Points are cool! -Tom
  12. Howdy man,

Whatcha been up to? You still live in M-town? Anyhoo, I lifted my wagon 2" and put on some 14" Pugs with 26" BFGs. Lift went pretty smooth.

    Take'r easy

    -Tom :)

  13. So what is pinging when the Timing is off? Thats the onlything I've never known.. Mine is fine, but I'd like more knowledge. -Tom
  14. Did you make the frond windscreen out of a rear gate? is that a 5-point harness for the seat belt? -Tom
  15. Well thats easy, just slip between the two front seats :-p Why would't the Wagon and Sedan doors be interchangeable, its the same car (Just with an extra 2ft on the rear) Thanks for the info -Tom
  16. Hmm, ok. Now does the RX door have the same angles are per say the wagons? I remember Rob (Robbie) talking about how the RXs door was bigger then the wagons door? Thanks
  17. HEHE!! Yep thats a mother for ya :-p It was pretty loud anyway, Happy to see it off the flatbed!
  18. ALRIGHT!! Wayta go, ur mom got scared? From what I may ask? Glad its alive, PICTURES WE NEED! -Tom
  19. Rob, Are the power connections for the XT mirrors the same as the EA82 mirrors? Or would I need to splice in diffrent connectors? -Tom
  20. Lol must've looked funny, some guys pumping Diesel into his engine (People are looking like, WTF?) -Tom :-p

Cause look at these Aussie guys, Nice Brats made better, and their not affraid to give it on a hillclimb! -Tom
  23. Geez! That was worse then I expectied. I'm glad you have by-standers to back you, Hope all works out, are you thinking about going to a boneyard for parts or what? btw, hows the X-member? Did it shift with the Control arm? Best'O luck, -Tom
