  1. OH!! Ok I see now, thanks guys for clearing that up Scott, I just didn't want to see you anoth email (Since I sent you 3 in one day lol) Stock OB shaft huh, ok I'll check into that for info JesZek, thank you! Sorry to hear PayPal didn't include your country, Have they added Honduars to their list yet? Also as far eating CVs/axles up, I think I should be ok with 2" more stress on them, cause right now my axles are almost flush/Straigt so a little angel shouldn't hurt them (At least for now) I'll make sure I take some pictures. btw, on the rear struts. what holds the 2 bolts (per) is there a nut that the bolts tighten on to or if it a threaded hole? -Tom
  2. Man, you guys are having waaaayy to much fun out there in WA!! I want to go wheeling, but I don't have anyone to go with nor know of any place in WI where the cops arn't gonna give you a fine or take my licence Lol... Nice rigs Rick and Woody. Scott, that EA82 looks kinda cool shortend -Tom
  3. YAY got my 2" SJR kit today! boy I can't wait to install it on 4th of july weekend (Wish it was a 3day weekend though, incase something gos wrong) Anyhoo I hope the fornt axles won't hit the frame, other wise I have to use the crossmember blocks that came with the kit (And that means I need a longer steering shaft, which means I won't be able to get it done in one weekend and would need to find a longer steering shaft.. Enough rambling on and on, heres a picture of my kit! One question though (Figure I won't bother Scott with this one ) Am I short some bolts or what? Cause ok, these 6 smaller bolts with washers and nuts hold the lowering plate(s) to the strut tower, Correct? but then what holds the stut(s) to the lowering plate? The stock bolts? Also what are these 4 long half threaded bolts with the locknuts for? Thats the only thing throwing me off. -Tom PS: do you guys think I should paint these so they don't rust?
  4. Ooo that is cool! I like how it clips to the side panel. I like the dog guard too! I believe I've see a few EA82s around here with those in them (Forgot their IDs) bh, Good luck finding a "Tyre" Inflator/Extinguisher! -Tom
  5. Ooo cool1 You don't see a whole lot of lifted XTs, But there are some. Make sure you get pics during and after! -Tom
  6. +1 me wanna know too Can't wait to get my kit! =)
  7. What I ment was, a main engine bearing (Could it have enough play/wear just to make noise at RPMs?) +100 Turbone, yes replace that fan ASAP! we had the fan shatter putting hugh holes in the rad and chunking off most of the shroud on a '99 Blazer when we were doing 75mph! Put a mean wobble on the Water pump (Alot of stress on the WP bearings) Just a thought. -Tom
  8. I think he's hearing that Humming/Whirring sound at the end of the video (Other then the turbo, I do hear something) Love the sound of the motor though +1
  9. Hmmm, Its hard to distinguish the noise thru the video. I hear the turbo wind up and I do hear another noise fantly (The noise ur talking about) Very hard to say, could it be a main bearing? and it only gets enough play in it at those RPMs? I'm sure GD will stop by (He'll prolly have a better guess then I) -Tom
  10. Ohh ok. yea all of mine are fine (Except I have a little toe out issue, lets say one wheel is straight, well the other side will be a little turned out. not alot but the car does pull lightly to the right) anyhoo ok thanks for answering my question
  11. GD, not to veer off-topic but I want to ask a quick question.. On a 4WD Loyale or any EA82, what is the correct front camber? I'm just curious. -Tom
  12. Are you sure you have the right guy? Lol..

  13. Oh yea, I remember reading a thread about EA82 Turbo and Non-turbo heads. and remember that about Subaru telling the techs to dismis the small cracks. I also remember the 3 different A/C layouts, one was made by Matsu************a (Brandon this ones yours) and the other was made by Hitachi (The type I have) Not sure what the 3rd one was.? Thanks for refreshing my memory again GD -Tom
  14. HOLY RUST FREE SOOB BATMAN! The bay almost looks spotless along with the engine. Why is the A/C pump where the Alt should be and visa versa? The Hanes manuals are ok, I have one, but the Chilton is better (I have both plus a little of the FSM on pdf) Well good luck on the HG, just hope the head isn't warped.
  15. The 883s are cool, they seem really short but I guess thats what Harley was going for. Lol I like how the drive time incresses! -Tom
  16. OH HAHAHAHA! that would be sweet! 15" pugs on a rideing mower! Ain't gonna cut much up in the air Lol
  17. Yes very true, But I figured I'd give him some somewhat detailed knowledge of what TheDude was speaking of. I don't have anythin better to do anyway Lol
  18. Haha thank you, Well I've done alot of reading and other things since I've joined here in 07'. I'm a better person because of it.
  19. The Legacy motors he is talking about are the EJ20 to EJ25 (EJ25 being the newest motor which is in the Imprezas and Legacys of today) The EJ20 was the first gen Legacy engine. Doing a EA to EJ swap will take a EJ20 or EJ22 (you can get both of these in turbo versions) anyhoo then you need a bell housing adaptor plate (A plate that will offer the right bolt pattern so the EJ will bolt up with the EA tranny) you also need the EA to EJ flywheel (Both of these items are availible from SJRLIFT.com and not to pricey) then you will need a wiring harness for the EA to EJ. Not sure where you can get one. I think the motor mounts on the EJ20-EJ22 are the same as the EA82s so that shouldn't be a prob. and of course your gonna need to take the EJs whole exhaust. and thats pretty much it, you'll be able to do all this most likely under $1000 (Depending how much the motor is) Just some quick knowledge for you.
  20. Hey we always like pics here on USMB! Good luck to ya on getting it home
  21. The reason its not the best is cause, what else are you gonna have fail on ya? Just like GD said. Radiator, Heater core, even the rings could have issues. Do you see any wetness under the cam cases on either side?
  22. Ooo nice! Simplicitys are pretty good mowers! (Course nothing beats a Case) Did you buy it? "Bringing home lawnmowers, Standard. Its what makes a Subaru, a Subaru."
