  1. Lets see, $150 for 4 Pugs $300 for Powder coating $500 for tires $40 for 16 1.25 acorns so bout $990 all in the same week lol..
  2. JesZek, yea the CVs will ware out a little quicker (Maybe) I mean its on 2" more stress on then, so it mightn ot be bad. As for the test, yep. I know its off 10-15mph. Cause I know how fast I'm going when i'm running at 3200rpm in 3rd (Was 45mph) but now it reads 35mph. "When you start blowing past other drivers at a bilistic speed, then you know your speedo is lieing" Phiz, Thank you! I went with white cause I see alot of Soobs with white wheels in AU (exp: Lapsed old GL wagon) and they always looked cool.
  3. Your doing that to a EA82 wagon? sounds cool, your gonna lower it 2" more! That 2deg negative should increase the handeling. -Tom
  4. Wow All these are getting me excited!! rjk, Awesome wagon! Both Robs, Cool RXs! Subarutex's RX wins hands down, thats the best RX I've seen.. And of course Dave's '88 wagon is killer.. I'd post a picture of mine, but I have a thread open already (14" Pugs 26" tires on my wagon) plus mines not as cool as some. I LOVE THREADS LIKE THESE! -Tom
  5. Oh, didn't know that. but you do still need a longer steering shaft. Thank you for the info
  6. Cameron, Haha thanks.. JesZek, I would but I don't know/live close to anyone with a Loyale Loyales seem rare here in Lower east WI.. But cool idea! oh and btw, if you use a 2" lift, you don't need to change the crossmembers nor lower the rear diff. But yes, it seems more stable (Probably the added waight of the tires plus the width)
  7. Scooby, Dirty Subaru? Clean Subaru? Hmm gonna go with the dirty Subaru! But you can always get the clean one all mudded up for the naybors to look at LOL! JesZek, thank you very much! yes I do have more clearance then any bigger/older car. I was behind a Toyota tercel today (Muhahaa) my bumper is up to the bottem of his tail lights! I get looks from people all day, Can't wait to go to the dealer for a part now, I'm way higher then a OB (Was next to one a wally world today) God bless JesZek John, Lol yea radio flyer huh.. Just need some redline tires to complete that Haha. Thanks
  8. Backinbrat, drop a EA82 wagon Lol! Why not put 22s on it then but thank you, yea hopeing do a 2" lift soon. The Dude, yea it looks a little stuffed but not bad in person. It still looks better then having those 165/80R13s Douglas on it lol. Mick, oh yea. you did have BFG M/Ts in 14s. wish they would bring them back in 14s. Any Soob looks good dirty! Scooby, much obliged. yea I'd think about a 4" more if ya didn't need a longer steering shaft and new crossmembers. So I think a 2" is enough C'mon, look at what Jeff "Oneye" does with a 2" Durania, yep its fun to pull behind a car and be higher then them. My front bumper is now level with the rear bumper on my parents S-10 Blazer.. Still a little lower then their FJ, But I have more clearance under the front then the FJ! 93Newbaru, Thank you. Hope you get it up and going soon
  9. Ok, did the triming of the front fenders today.. worked awesome! I'll get a picture when I get time
  10. bh I got the tires from F&F Tire group (A real tire shop) umm lets see, total was $503 but they charged me $16 for tire disposal (I didn't have any tires nor stems on them) So I'll get that back monday. I got the wheels powder coated at Hy-tec coatings, $300 flat for blasting, priming and coating. oh and the new acorn were $40:rolleyes: Spiffy Thanks, yea theres alot of PCing shops up by you. Sooba Thank you too, yep I'm pretty happy on how it looks so far
  11. Yes I can turn, only time it rubs is if you turn full and hit a bump or an uneven suface (Driveway entrance) it just hits on the lower front and back part of the front fenders. so yea, I'll trim it a little to give it room when the strut bounds/rebounds. gonna use a air cut-off tool tomorrow btw, in the second picture you can see where I did a little bashing, so I'll need to cut that plus a little more to be on the safe side.
  12. Hey, Well my wagon finally has 14s on it! No lift (Yet) but I did gain 2" if not more from the new tires. Tires are 205/75R14s BFG Long Trails T/As Here are some pics! Theres about a 1ft. if not more under the rear diff now. (I'll measure it tomorrow) OK, so heres before and after Powder coating. BEFORE: Monday AFTER: Wednsday Thanks for looking and the help you guys have giving me. -Tom PS: Does anyone know of any aftermarket center caps that will work on the 505 pugs? Feel free to post pics of any
  13. Only 87k! but it is an 83' so seals do get old.. Yea my thought is valve stem seals, like I said before, try some MMO in the oil. It WILL recondition the stem seals and others, worked on a Mazda MX6.
  14. Lol, a Citroen R something? Almost looks like an older version of the Oltcit club LMAO! Doesn't look to bad, get better tires on it Tom
  15. Yea that'd work, I have something like that behind my grill (For looks Lol) XTC, nice bumper! Hella all the way!
  16. Ok heres the plan, for now I'll be going with 205/75 BFG Long trails untill I get a 2" SJR lift. Cause even if I trim the front, I'm gonna run into problems with the rear wells with 27" tires. But I'll tell you one thing, I really appreciate all the info I've learned from these posts. Thanks again guys! -Tom
  17. Yea thats a new idea, nice! dunno if you have thought of this yet, but how about some metal mesh in the center section to help protect the rad? it'd look cool to. Nice job -Tom
  18. Dave, oh I see! Thought they were pugs, wow very nice! Possibly only two sets in the U.S! thats really outstanding. Thanks for informing me their not pugs MKC, ok. Ooo those on an XT would be cool.
  19. Yes those factors make the diffrence, if the valve stems are dry, I would use MMo before a flush or SF, cause MMO will help condition the rubbers and the like.. Flushes and SF will strip any gunk but won't treat the rubbers. -Tom ps: Still a very nice car, and Merkers are awesome! XTR4i and Scorpio!
  20. Hey those are cool! Dunno how many sets are still around, but I know a few people on here have them. May I ask what the name of those Bridgestones are? Look kinda meaty. -Tom
  21. One more question since I'm kinda green on the bigger tire thing, Ok lets say you have 27x8.5 now the pugs are only 5.5 wide, so isn't that alot of stress on the beed? oh and 8.5 would that be the same as 8.5" inchs on a tape measure? I know its kinda a dumb question.. -Tom
  22. Could a few of you guys post a pic or two of a pretty decent job on cutting the fenders on an EA82, would help me get an idea.. Thanks again -Tom PS: if I do go with 27" tires whats a good width? I don't want super wide.. I'm guessing 6 or 7" wide is good, right?
  23. Scooby, yea was thinking an air cut-off tool (My dad Has all that type of stuff) Its my first time with doing something like this an just didn't want to start hacking Lol.. btw oh thats a 4" lift! maybe it looks lower cause it has 15s. Sweet82, LMAO! Yep those fit ITM, ok thanks. umm if your talking about the rear spring adjusters, the Loyales don't have those (Can't rise/lower rear strut length like you can with GLs) but I get where ur coming from. Thanks again
  24. Markus, those are cool tires. Thanks for the link.. Zap, yea I dunno why I'm hesitant on cutting? I guess I'm afraid I'll make it look like crap, umm What tools are best for doing such a job? Can't tell me ya just go to town with a set of metal sheres Lol. btw your hatch looks awsome, you must have a 2" on it huh? CF, Thanks for the link too! I just don't know why they don't make more A/T tires in 14" in like 26".. ok heres one more question, I was told that 205/75/R14s (26")would clear without rubbing, so what are the odds that 27" would clear with a little cutting?
