  1. Shifter bushings are firm, but right now, the shifter has slop in it? But its in 3rd, but stick doesn't look quite right. I can't for the life of me get it to do ANYTHING, I've been using a lot of movement and force and nothing happens. If I remove the center console, can I get to anything on top of the tranny? I forgot what it looks like. What options do I have to fix this so I can sell it?
  2. Driving the GL for one last time tonight, and was driving fine all night, typical syncro grind going into 3rd once and a while. But other than that, normal. But I came to a complete stop while still in 4th (My mistake) I almost couldn't get it out of forth, but I managed to pop it into 3rd, or what seems to be 3rd. The RPMs reflect 3 gear, but the shifter doesn't feel right...? And I can not move it into any other gear, I tried popping it into another gear while moving and stopped, and I can NOT get it to do anything. I had to slip the SH*t out of the clutch from a dead stop just to get up to speed again so I could make it to a parking lot. I pulled it home with another vehicle, but now what do I do? What would cause this? I've had this issue in the past, but I was always able to get it into another gear, This time, eh, not so lucky. I am running Synthetic gear oil in it (Lucus) but this should not be the issue. Ideas anyone?
  3. No, but a piece of 1x1 square tubing could fix that. Cut the link in half, drop each end into the piece of tubing and lay a bead of weld and voila! Done This is what I'm gonna have to do when I get to that point. -Tom
  4. I'll support this post! I am very happy with the 4" kit Bill sent me. Looks awesome!
  5. Will this car become part of my fleet yet again....? Stay tuned to find out...!
  6. Got the 4" BOSS kit from Bill Omlin, and I also got the JDM/EDM corner lights from Bennie in Australia! Thanks goes out to both of them for the help! I will get some pictures sometime.
  7. And that is how I keep all mine as clean as possible. Yeah salt sucks.... Salt belongs on my margarita, not on the roads.
  8. My mom had the coupe version of this car (Only the 4cyl) I like the Mustang-IIs, Especially with power! The Corbra version of this car doesn't look to bad, check it out guys.
  9. I actually wouldn't mind getting back onto the Trashwagon. I still would like to have two vehicles to drive for winter since the EA82 is gonna get put away soon. I could toss you a few bones for TW10 if you don't really need it at the moment. Keep me up to date about that yo!
  10. Naw, the car is still parked in front of my house. Its still mine at the moment, but I was given money to hold it. I also adjusted the choke today, tomorrow I will start it and see if it stays running after the first crank (Damn Weber is touchy) :-p
  11. Sold Matt, now you'll have to keep this thread going with updates :-p
  12. That turned out great! Glad this car is getting the full treatment.
  13. Yeah I just got on, and didn't see an email. For some reason, Yahoo doesn't like Gmail. Jon has the same issue.
  14. I would possibly trade, given that Trashwagon is still in the condition it was (Nothing major) I was trying to get my fleet down to two vehicles, but the Loyale is going in the garage soon, so I'd only have the Toyota then. Matt on here sent me a email which I didn't get, but he sounds interested. So I will keep ya'll informed of whats going on.
  15. So I made my decision tonight while driving it. I'm gonna sell it. $1,000 takes it. Its turn key ready to go, I just don't need it anymore.
  16. James, I might install the wheel in the Loyale as it has red stitching. I have yet to purchase an adaptor yet. I'm too damn busy now with two jobs, and most of my focus is on my GF. I never thought I'd neglect my cars over a girl, but its happened.
  17. So we'll see what becomes of this car, I was kicking around the idea of selling out of it, so I just have two cars. But it'll probably be a hard sell even for $1,000. So I dunno what I'm gonna do at this time, maybe I should just sleep on it for a while, I sold Trashwagon10 and kinda regretted it. Ben, I kinda like the idea of adjusting the decal colors to compensate the gray. I'm not really a fan of Red, White, Blue. I preferred the Black/White/Orange of TW10, it stood out but looks cool.
  18. Awesome mick, thank you! I looked at the Subarusofthe80s paint chart, but didn't know which gray it was.
  19. I hate those clips, they always seem to break. Took me a while to find some for the fenders that weren't broke. Epoxy! :-p
  20. Yep, that indeed did the trick. It doesn't grind anymore going into reverse.
  21. Put a little more tension on the cable, and changed the gear oil with Lucus 75w90 and now it shifts real nice. The cable seems smoother now as well.
  22. Good question, I will check that in a bit. I will also adjust it slightly in so there is a little more tension on the fork (if you will) maybe the disc isn't disengaging all the way, all I know is, it felt better with the original cable, before it broke lol. I should get pics as to where the cable broke. It was not the cable its self, it was the large round stopper which pops into a grove under the dash then a retainer bolts to the dash and holds it all in place, that ripped out (alloy Cracked)
  23. So maybe I have the cable still misadjusted? Yes the Flywheel was properly resurfaced. And I put everything in correctly. The notchy feeling seems to be more of a current issue after changing the cable. So I am wondering if I don't have ti adjusted right. So if the clutch is not disengaging all the way with the pedal in. Do I tighten the adjusting nut or loosen it? I'm thinking tightening it as it pulls the fork the more you tighten it. But then I also don't want my friction point really high like it was before. Must be a fine line...? lol
