  1. Yeah thats a good idea, I was thinking of doing something like that maybe. Thanks for the tip!
  2. Oh, I see now. Yeah that should work, Looks the pretty much the same. yeah it is hollow on the bottom, I checked that first. Alright thanks! that solves my problem. I'll give it a go this weekend when I do it.
  3. I'd try useing a screwdriver and pry the gutter molding a little but I don't know if i'll break any clip or whatever holds it on.
  4. Just went out and looked at the gutters on the EA82, and I don't think that'll work? Cause the plastic molding gets closer to the body the farther down you go to almost where you can't get a single wire in there. Does anyone have pics of this idea like (Jonas) had but done to an EA82?
  5. Jonas, Thanks what I'm looking for! Thanks.. Yeah Zip ties are your friend
  6. Hey, I bought a pair a 6" Hella 500 lights last weekend to hook up to my Rack basket. The onlything I can't seem to figure out is how to run the wires from the lights into the Cab? I don't want to drill a hole in the roof and use a rubber gorment (Spelling) or rubber based sealer. Someone told me once that you can run the wires under the Rack basket arm and down into the gutter and then into the cab, But I can't find out how? Once I get the wires into the vehicle I'll be fine. Any one know how to run the wires into the cab? PS: I did a search and alll the theard I saw, ppl were talking about drilling a hole in the roof (Which I DO NOT want to do) Thanks for any help!
  7. Yeah I know about that smoke lol (Going up hill) all I can say is "WHITE OUT!!! anyhoo I replaced it about a week ago, no more smoke Plus my engine runs better (I wonder is it was just sucking a little bit to make it run not that great before) but not enough to cause a smoke show Hmmmm??? Anyway yeah your right about the bolts for that governor cup 3 10mm bolts.. I was told in the past that the Kick down solenoid was behind that cup too. True-False? I didn't pull the cover, since it seems to shift fine like Gloyale said So I prolly won't mess with it. But I'll keep that in mind.
  8. Yeah i was thinking about useing a handheld propane torch, and i'll keep it on the plug. I just waas thinking about useing a little heat to help get the deep creep in a little farther. yeah it shifts fine, so you know the old saying (If it ain't broke, DON'T fix it) Haha:lol: Thanks again!
  9. Alrighty, thanks for the tips! I was thinking there has to be a seal or o-ring for the modulator. I'll make sure i don't lose anything lol, i would like to drive my car again Haha. I prolly won't Seafoam the intake, I'll just run it so it all gets out of the system.. maybe i'll use some Carb cleaner. As for the tranny filter and pan seal, i don't really want to touch those bolts (kinda scary looking) when i changed the ATF there wasn't any dirt in it but it WAS old. I am thinking about changeing the gear oil, where do you find Royal Purple? and what wt: is it 80w-90? I really want to check/change the rear diff fluid but i can't get the plug out!! it's soooooo stuck, i've been sokeing it in deep creep but it won't budge. i'm thinking about trying a little heat from a torch (Good idea?) BTW where is the governor? do you have to go though the oil pan? Thanks again!
  10. Just wondering, whats the other one for? the one in front with the wire coming out of it..?
  11. Thanks too! yeah i'm happy to get an answer too lol:grin: now i just gotta get my check thursday so i have money... i'll see about ordering it this week sometime. Thanks again guys!
  12. OK thanks soooo much! i was kinda thinking it had to screw off, so cool... Yeah i'm going with an OE one. and maybe i'll get a new metel line too (Dunno if i'll crack the old one) thanks again bro! -Tom
  13. ok so heres a quick storie on how i found out this thing took a crap on me. ok friday i checked my Tranny fluid and is was low (almost not on the stick) yes the car was running, anyhoo so i bought some tranny fluid and filled it satrday, i figured since there wasn't that must in it, I would just drain the old out and put all fresh, So I did.... then once i put 2.1/2 qt in i started it up and checked the fluid. it was almost full, so i added the rest of 3rd bottle which was just enough. then i notice i had some thin white smoke coming out the exhaust..! I guess since i filled it theres now enough fluid in the tranny for that vaccum thing to pick up. cause it didn't do it at all last week when the fluid was low. at first i thoguht it was oil but it didn't smell right. so my dad and I looked at it and let it run to see if it would clear up (It didn't) so I shut it off and was looking around the engine for any sort of oil or something that was getting into the air lines, nothing..... then I looked at this vac line which is attached to a T-style juntion and a metel line that comes off this thing on the tranny. well the thing i noticed was theres a Vac line that go's into the Intake on the passenger side and there was Tranny fluid around the vac line and in it. so we pulled the vac line off the intake and pluged it and let the car run. and what do ya know! the smoke faded and stoped and the smoke was really bad (Looked like when you put sea foam in the Booster hose) lol. so my question is what is this called and what does it do? my dad kinda thinks it might be for when you punch it and it needs to kick into a higher gear (Overdrive) sorta thing. I figure it must be taking a crap cause you shouldn't have Tranny fluid going into the intake. I need a name so i can order it from Subaru. Heres a pic, its the one in the back closest to the fire wall.. Lemme know, Thanks Tom...
  14. Oh I see now, alright. and it's no biggie about being tired, We all get that. Miles, Yeah that's right. I just looked at the pressure regulator and it's got a vac line coming off the back of it and go's into the throttle body. you can see the vac line in the picture, if you looks between the Blue plug wires and the regulator. And BTW, The solenoid, Theres two of them. The one in the picture has a vac line on the top and that runs to a set of metel lines that go to the tranny and it also has a black conector that plus into a harnes and runs all over. Then theres a 2nd one which is a little below the 1st one and has a vac line on top and that runs to the EGR..
  15. I know I'm not Connie Lol, But from what I've seen when my parents 99' Blazer's been flat beded. They take the straps and put them on something Such as the frame (On a full frame vehicle) and tight'n it down. I don't know what they do to Uni frame vehicles.. Never seen one flat beded, Nor have I ever seen a Subaru on a flat bed or being towed at all.
  16. Glad to hear He's on his way! the pics are a must Haha! Hope LB gets there soon
  17. Yeah thanks again bro! So thats where the pressure reg is, I read about it in Chilton but they didn't provid a picture.. And the other one is a Purge solenoid/evap solenoid. I assume its for the fuel too.? I was just curious about them, and I figure what better place to ask Thnaks guys!
  18. Oh those are fuel dampers! Sorry for typing Vac lines. I had Vac lines on my mind all day "Dunno why" Lol Alright thanks!
  19. I can't figure out what these are? I tried to look'em up in chilton, but it's kinda hard since I dunno what there called.. These round things are connected to two fuel lines and and the 3rd one is attatched to the Throttle body.. Now for this one, The thing with the black plastic cap/cover.. It's attatched to a aluminum peice. Anyone have a idea ? Thanks!
  20. BTW, John. Are those still the steelies? If so whats the width of those tires?
  21. Geez, I thought you're went into a ditch or somethin'! Connie will prolly panic right away when she sees this thread.. at least you won't be Anyways, Nice 2 minute mod. Looks good! I wonder why the 2WDs didn't come with a skidplate?:-\
  22. Yeah that's kinda cool too! I would prefer a net style. But That is still something worth looking at! Gloyale, Yeah that prolly would hit there hair. Casue when I sit in the car i've got about 1/2" or more between me and the ceiling. But if they don't like it (Get out and walk Lol) :-p
