  1. They prolly both cover the same for the Loyale/EA82 vehicles. Just that one would cover the Subarus up 96. I would just get the 1985 to 96 one, Thats what I have. Good luck bro! PS: Post a pic(s) in the "Show off you're Soob" thread in Off topic!
  2. I have both, (Haines and Chilton) So Chilton is alot better for exploded diagrams and the info is more complete. Look for the one that's for any Subaru from 1980 to 1996. It has a red OBW on the cover. Other then that the 1989 EA82 FSM's are you're best bet. I only have few on CD-R that I got from a member. If you were to buy the whole set, thats like $130 bucks:eek: Anyhoo the Chilton should be good enough for what ever you need. Works for me.
  3. Huh, Alright that's good to know. I might do the swap sometime. (Need more power for those extra lights) Hahaha:grin:
  4. Now with the GM 100 amp's you would need to change the pully right? Because those had serpentine belts.. Can you just take the pully off the old/stock alt?
  5. I found this to work really well. First get some light/soft steel wool then really wet the window with glass cleaner. Next start rubbing the window with the wool in a circular motion. Re-wet the window if needed. Then when it starts feeling nice and smooth take some paper or a rag and wipe the window clean. And that will take any road tar, tree sap, paint fumes, etc off your windows. Keep in mind not to do this on the inside of any rear window that has defrost or that could damage the electic wire. Also to help keep gunk from sticking to your windows, try waxing them with a good paint wax. Just don't do the front other wise your wipers may not wipe your window too good. Hope this helps someone
  6. Turbone, Yeah I agree with that too! I think fram sucks. Cause when I first bought my car I (Being new to Subaru or any vehicle) went with Fram. And after a few miles I noticed that where the Filter seal and the oil pump meet there was always a beed/line of fresh oil... So I thought it was just a bad filter. So I bought another one, And again the same thing. Plus in the cold mornings on startup I did have some ticking from a lifter on the Drivers side. SO.... After that I did another oil change (only put 200miles on that filter) and this time I did it with a Subaru filter and now theres no more oil around the seal and no more tick on cold mornings. Only once and a while on really cold days -10 Deg F I'll get a little bit for a few seconds... So all in all, I don't like nor trust Fram anymore. My parents still run them on both there vehicles... (99 S-10 Blazer and 93 Ranger) But not me... My 2 cents, Whatever thats worth
  7. That sounds like what everyone runs..... I'll get that when I drain the Diff's this spring.. Thanks guys!
  8. Thats just the way it is IIRC, But you can get more space etc.. If you donate some cash. It's aways good to donate something, Really helps out Shawn keep this place going
  9. I agree with the EJ25 and EA81, But what about the EA82? it's still a 1.8 and the EA71, Thats not a 1.7 Haha. Just thought I'd ask that
  10. Yeah thats good! Hope you get it at a good price And keep you're Dukes up with Carter Subaru!
  11. Yeah that's just reticules! I havn't gotten anything like that from my Soob dealer yet. But I get that at the (Zone) sometimes Just reading you're post is pissing me off, I hate days like that...... So did you get you're Rad somwhere else?
  12. They make stuff that starts thiner and go's to 90w! I never see that. Huh? Yeah I forgot to say it's not LSD, Just the ragular 3.90 But Alright I'll have to look for something that starts from a lower number and go's higher! Last time I go to Autozone! Thanks man!
  13. Whats a good weight for the front/rear diff oil for all year (Summer to Winter)? I read that 90 to 95 wt is good for only above 30 deg F and that 80 wt is good for -0 temps... So I don't know whats a good weight? I don't want to change it for the winter seson. What do you guys run/Do?
  14. Now you're talking! But I don't think thats legal to only run those with out headlights too.. Still a cool Idea Hahaha! But yeah 9004's are what we use.
  15. EA82 SPFI 3spd 100,456 miles Well lets see, Rust/rotted rear 1/4 panel underside by Mudd flaps and back (Can't figure out how to fix it, Hard spot) Paint chipping away on repainted front fenders Rattling 2nd cat Front alignment is a little off (Toe out) Front wiper motor has a dead spot Hole in Exhaust by first hanger on Y-pipe Steel wheels are rusting again Oil pump leaks (Will change when warmer) Prolly need new Timing belts (Will change when warmer) Rear winshie washie holder leaks Gooooy undercoating on everything under the car Rear suspension bumpers fell off Missing ash tray (Lol) No lifter tick at all! (Yay) And I think thats it, Now with pic, You can somewhat see the rear rust on the fender.
  16. Yeah www.Subarupartsforyou.com is better for getting stuff for EA82's. Thats the only older gen they have listed, But I'm sure they can get stuff for other models.. I can't beleave they have the side moldings for the doors/fenders! Good fine GD!
  17. Hey yeah I forgot to add it's an SPFI, Sorry for the confusion! I don't need a pic, I found the screw today.. Thanks for the quick answer! I just had an idea, You know how there are some theads that people open for a quick answer that is not found by searching around. Well what if someone opend a thread and called it "Quick fire questions" Then people can post a question they have with out opening another thread.... It would save alot of Band width I would think.. Anyone else agree with that idea?
  18. Oh really! Okay, Thanks for telling me where the screw is too!
  19. I did search around and I can't find a direct answer. So anyways my idle Speed/RPM when at running temp is like 650-800 and the needle moves between those two. Then when in gear with brake on it go's to about 500-650 and when the lights are on it go's to 450 and the needle shakes.. So should I bring the idle up? And how do you adjust it? BTW it idles the best at 1000rpm....
  20. Here's mine too, www.cardomain.com/ride/2401975
  21. 1988 GL wagon DR 4WD 5spd and center diff locker. (Gotta learn stick) And a Brat (Any Brat) And maybe a JDM 1989 Legacy wagon 4WD.
  22. Yeah that would be a copyright issue wouldn't it, Yeah I guess I'l have to buy it sometime then.. Alright thanks!
  23. Alright. Yeah that's true, Just curious. Thank's GD..
