Yeah look's good!! I like the tire's too! Are they P165/80R13's?? The green look's cool and the hood has a great shine!! And about the hot water thing i'll give it a try. If i use spray can's:-\ I probely will!! I found a place on the web called expresspaint.com and they want $14.95 for starter's and if you want spray can's it's a aditonal $10.00 buck a can!! Is that cheep?? Someone check out the site! And what's weard is they don't list any Subaru loyale paint, But if you type the paint code like mine is 947 it will bring the color and name yup and then you can order it? The paint name by the way is Subaru mica ruby pearl! The OEM color!!!! In case anyone wanted to know:) -

And about the shine i should be able to do it's good by watching how i paint and after a few week's i can hand wax it.... So will see.. And about the can thing i dunno? Maybe i'll get lucky:) Because i'm going to go to this place called "Auto paint and supply" and i think they do can's so, I'm hopeing:slobber: Anyhoo this site is great everyone is so nice:grin: Thanx for the info -

I totaly agree with Daeron! Don't use Subaru's in demo derby's!!! That would be the sadest thing i would ever see:mad: Take a 1990 chevy baretta or a 2001 Nissan altima! And don't use the older Nissan's or Mitsu's ither! I mean the 1979-88 Nissan blue bird where cool and so where old Mitsu's!! This guy probely still won't lissen and he'll take a Loyale or any Roo and make'em cry!!! It's sad when you see people on youtube makeing a Boxer engine screm!!! ;( -

If i go to a auto paint store and giv them the Paint# and name "Ruby red metalic" and a Vin# and have it put into a rattle can will the paint match and have a gloss??? Because i did a little bondo/fiberglass work on Roland a few week's ago and havent got'in the paint yet. If anybody know's please let me know:) -

TheLoyale replied to SuperBrat's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I really agree!! I mean your going to take a Roo and beat the crap out of it and let it die!! That's F#*@ing sick!!!!! Why don't you take a Suzuki or Honda!! or even a Nissan.. NOT A SUBARU:mad: KEEP ROO'S ALIVE AS LONG AS YOU CAN!!!! -
I'm still with Connie, It all depend's on how you drive!!

I don't know? The officel Subaru spec's for the EA82 Loyale on-demand 4WD wagon AT trans say 22mpg HY but i think it get's more!! Because we went from Waukesha, WI to Meqanago, WI to a Wal-mart super center and that's about 15-20 mile's and i only sucked about a little under full, So who know's!! And my roo was running great and the tire's are new and full 33.5psi on a max of 35psi and then you figure the tire's heat up and then it's at about 34.5 to 35psi SO........... I don't think anybody will really know for shure?? Hope this help's:)

TheLoyale replied to Bucky92's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Aww man, That's the sadest thing i've seen!! :( :( :-\ I don't think you'll be able to fix him with some sheet metel and rivets!? I feel really bad about that now! Yeah Roland isent like that, The wheel walls are great i've just got the rear driver door that's the worst and the rear qurtor panles on the bottem so...... Thats really bad Connie. Does your hubbie have any idea's??? Later, Tom...................... -
Alright thanx for the link! Anywayz my lifter on the drivers side stoped ticking! I guess Connie was right it was just an air bubble, I was runing it for about 15-20 min and it started to get softer and softer and then it stoped so i'm happy it wasent a clog! And about the oil pump/timing belts ok i guess we'll just tear into it! It won't be for a few weeks as is my dad had 2 blocked and colapst artri's around his hart so it runs in the family, He's all better! And he's just got a little pain were his right leg conecks to his pelvis because that's how they got a little tube in there to clear the plack away plus he's got a stitch. Anyhoo he's back home and doing good so..... Thanx for the help! Tom Draeger

Ok thank's GD, I'll check out those site's you gave me! I know about Thepartsbin.com but never heard of 1stsubaruparts.com so i'll check them too! I guess if i could see the inside of the EA82 and get a better idea i would feel better doing it anyhoo i'll see about it tho! Thanx alot, Tom.............

Hey, Yeah i'll go to Advance Auto or autozone they should have it too right? And is there a difrence between marvels Mystery Oil and Seafoam? And don't worry i'll get the right one! As for the cam case oil passage rings and O ring for the upper tube where is it onhttp://www.Rockauto.com can you tell me! I'll also have to look all this up in my Chilton book! Later, Tom/...........
-
Hey Connie what is seafoam?? Where do i buy it? and what does it really do?? I'll see about buying new tensioners and idler pulley, I was thinking about it but dident know if i should! And GD, The mony isent the problem it's the work! Is replaceing the cam case oil passage rings alot of work? Because my dad never did anything on a Roo! He like's American vehicles! Anyhoo i'll see about all of that ok! Where do i buy Seafoam???
-
Yeah Connie it's a constent tick i think because you said it take's about 10-15 min untill it stops? So i don't know maybe it's ok because i dident run it for 10-15 min but i did get the RPM's up by reving it a little. So maybe it'll go away? And GD i'm going to do a oil pump and timing belt job soon, I've got all the part's/seals 1.Oil pump and micky mouse gasget, O-ring, and seal. 2.Oil PSI sending unit 3.Left and right timing belt 4.Timing belt cover seals So i'm just waiting till my dad has the time to help me! Later, Tom.............................

I don't know what to do, I just did a oil change on my EA82 last night and put a OEM Subaru filter on and some Moble clean 5000 10w-30 in and she ran fine last night but today i've got a some what loud ticking coming from one of the drivers side valves! So i think it mite be dirt because once i did a motor flush and alot came out but now i've got this loud tick again!! Will this ticking wreck my lifter? And wreck me engine?

What's wrong with Fram oil filters??
TheLoyale replied to TheLoyale's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Yeah ok the engines of today are better in a few ways like there better on the environment and save gas but they have all that computer crap on them and to many sensor's!! I mean the EA82 is easy and cheap to get to pass emissons! So new or old Subaru is a Subaru! And that's that! Later, Tom............... -
What's wrong with Fram oil filters??
TheLoyale replied to TheLoyale's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Great news!!! I went to Subaru and bought 2 OEM filters! And put one on and did the oil again, I feel alot better knowing it's a Subaru brand! Eveyone is right the Fram and Subaru are totley difrant! And before with the Fram the oil used to leak around where the rubber seal is and now with the Subaru brand it doesent!! SO.... I'm going with Subaru filters from now on! Thanx all. Later, Tom...................... -
