Alright, everything is back in, for the interior, minus the passenger and rear seat. Everything seems to work, Power windows, Door warning lights, Dome Light. Although I still have no idea what these are for? Are these for a factory option I don't have? I don't want to put the passenger seat in, until I know what they are. I kinda forgot how cramped this car is, compared to the EA82, wow.

The Awesome Older Generation Picture Thread

It is a matter of opinion, I think it looks good. Its Trashwagon13, its supposed to be funky -
Tom, I forgot I had that picture! Now I see how everything goes. Hood release first, then the long power windeo unit is turn horizontal and faces the firewall, then the little black box mounts vertical. Bennie, I have no idea what the little box is for. I have a different box for the windows, so I dunno. As for the kick panel, it is not free on these EA81s like it is on the L-series. You have to unbolt all this crap to remove the cover. Cheers!

That driveshaft looks bad rump roast! Now I want to get mine rebuilt. How much did it cost about? As for the clunking, I would check the rear axles first and the Axle stubs on the diff, check for any excessive amount of play in those. You would pull the rear cover off, and check things out inside. Tug on the pinion and see if the carriage bearings are good, no play. Check teeth ect. You can use RTV Black on the cover for reassembly.

This is pure cool! -
Ok, what are these for? Passenger side front, main harness. I know there is a white one on the driver side for the Seal belt reciever, but I have no idea where these go (yet)
-
So here is the joke. Do all 3 of these go on the outside of the kick panel? The last one, which is the black box with the Mitsubishi stamping on it, does not fit with the Hood release handel and the Power Window unit. Do I have something bass ackwards? With black box. Without black box. Also, if anyone knows off hand, do these look correct? The two bullet connectors on the right run off the main harness and into the rear driver door? Just want to double check, before I put power to anything.

Yeah, thats no joke. One its stuck, theres pretty much no going back on position. If you end up with creases, just basically have to work them in. Seems like it should work really well! Jon, remind me this weekend to stop by and give you your dough. Saturday would be best I guess, as Sunday I will be at Don Miller till 2pmish, then I might roll down to Janesville and help a guy out with his '95 Impreza. I got the carpet back in, I think I have it right. And I sure hope I plug everything in correctly. Whos idea was it to use Bullet connections for a factory wiring harness, dumb! But wait! I have something that is even more dumb, I will post a picture of it later.

Good lord, $50 to enter in the show! Boo! $15 tops.

Finished, and finished!

I think its bogus to pay admission to a car show. I don't dig that, why should I pay to look at some other persons car, which I could probably see in a parking lot But, if there is free food/drink, indeed that makes sense. Good luck at the show! Grab some pictures and post them somewhere EDIT: $20 isn't bad, really. The place looks really organized and awesome! Door prizes eh?
-
Yeah, Dyna-mat is like $130 I think, plus its thicker and more bulky. I think this stuff will work just right, its not the easiest thing to put in, and get it nice and uniformed, but I guess it doesn't matter since its under the carpet. What, huh? These cars are loud eh? Guess I can't tell anymore are 6yrs. Yeah, noises like to carry in these cars, arrg. The FJ80 is like driving a cream puff it is so quiet and smooth while coasting. Its still quieter at speed then the Subarus, Full-frame, and better sound deading layout I guess. For $30,000 it better be quiet!

Here is what the Color code tag would look like, if its still intact somewhere. #241 is Porcelain White (Just an example)

I hear you on bare metal. One of my rear door corners is just touching the rocker enough to scratch it down to bear metal. Gonna grind that edge down a little. You have more car shows in VT then we do! Damn you..
-
Jboymechanic ordered it for me from FatMat I suppose. it was $80 for 50sq.ft (Was just enough!) although I might have gone overboard with it a bit
-
Are you having anew carrier bearing installed as well, or is it good?
-
Laid down the rest of the La FatMat. I still have about 2ft. left.

Glad to see you have a thread going! As for the Paint code tag, its possible someone removed it (Its only a Foil sticker) As for finding the matching color, if I remember right, Subaru only used two different shades of blue in the 90s Loyale - 955 - Bermuda Blue Met. 280 - Ice Blue Met I personally think that it is Ice Blue Metallic, it seems to be the most popular color in of the blue 90s Loyale. Perhaps you can post a picture sometime As for the fiberglass, if you are gonna use fiber glass sheets with Fiberglass resin, you'll have better results with it sticking to semi-smooth surface. You can rough up the surface with some 60grit sandpaper which will help. -Tom

Haha indeed :-p Put the cargo interior back in. Seems the carpet has shrunk.. Hmm.

Wow, even has the Aluminum lower door panels/kick panels. Nice Brat WCSS "West Coast Subaru Show" not sure when it is, but its always huge! -Tom -
Damn you! I was looking for a set of those visors for my '95 wagon when I had it. They are a PITA to find, at least for a wagon. I like them too! Now you got bling lights hommie
