My '92 Landcruiser: Safariwagon-II
TheLoyale replied to TheLoyale's topic in Non Soob Cars and Bikes Discussion
That is a smoking deal for one! Can't wait to see it! You can get Two new corner lights for it for $22 off Ebay (They will be the JDM white/clear corners vs Amber) I have another Power antenna motor, dunno if it has the aluminum mast though, will check and let you know. Make sure you adjust those rocker arms! -
The Stainless is HVAC/Commercial Kitchen grade. My neighbor doesn't use 18ga much, so he gave it to me. He uses mostly 16ga. I am going to finish up the Pinch weld tomorrow, then Both rockers and the Floor will be finished. I can then finish coating it with Bedliner, and then install the rubber water dampers, then some sound deadening, and the rest of the interior. Where can I buy Automotive grade sound deadening locally? I don't believe a parts house will carry this?

BOSS 2" EA82 Lift Kits- $100!!!
TheLoyale replied to The Beast I Drive's topic in Products for your Subaru
The CV angles will only go away if you drop the front engine crossmember and Radius Rods and then the Rear diff and Suspension tube. If you were to go though all this effort, you should go with a 3" lift, then you would drop everything else 1" My EA82 with a 2" kit has no issues with Axles. -
Get a thin metal cut-off disc for an Angle grinder, or air cut-off tool, You want a thin disc, so you remove as little material during cutting. It is very easy, if you take your time and have a steady hand. Draw a line on the fender where you want to trim, then score it with the cutting disc first, then make the final cut. You will need to repaint the area you are cutting, because the paint will bubble due to the excessive heat.

They will fit the rim fine, you will still need to trim the front fenders to allow for turning clearance.

DLS Tire Center. Any tire chain will get them. They are 27x8.5.

The Awesome Older Generation Picture Thread

Haha! The video is even better! They aren't very happy to be in that Subaru. -
Welds up real easy, and paint adheres fine too. Just using my Wirefeed Weldpac100, .035 fluxcore wire.

But you know the car is for the most part, reliable, aside from the Fuel Delivery issue. Getting a new (Old car) is always a crap shoot, you could be buying a problem child and then sink money into it, after you've spent money to buy it. For the $2,000 you would spend on an Impreza, you could toss in the Loyale, and have a new car lol.

When I was checking the brakes on the Loyale, I mounted up a Pug/Bighorn from it, to see how it would look/clear. I think I will stick with the 205/45/16 trailer wheel idea. My neighbor gave me another huge sheet of 18ga stainless, it still had the Laser protective coating on it which I had to peel off. I won't need to buy any more metal, thats for sure! Stainless patch welded in. I still have more then enough to remake the pinch weld and all the other patch panels I need! How much money in stainless do you think this sheet is?

My neighbor gave me some 18ga Stainless sheets, I will be using that for the following RuPairs.
