  1. Remember, if you need anything. Hit me up.
  2. Yes, you. Yes, Decals Haha. Wow, cool. You are the man! Good idea about the blue vinyl, although it's going to be hard to get them made up to fit. Hmmm...? I dunno, guess I'll worry about that after I repaint the car lol! I also need to re-edit that photo and use the correct font style, I was on a Mac and had limited options with the photo editor.
  3. Rob, let me know how much you'd want for a set of those, I need some for the Ski Wagon!
  4. I think I cleared ACE out of Metric Stainless Bolts and Washers lol... I actually still need 3 or 4 more M8 Stainless washers to mount up my Fuel pump. I grabbed a hand full of the wrong size today (They are for M6)
  5. Maybe they are the incorrect Ball Joints? The Joint body being to long and not seating all the way. And there is nothing stopping it on the knuckle side eh? Thats puzzling. Although, the original ball joint bolts can be drilled out with now to much effort given you have a decent bit. I've already seen that approach in person, drill it all the way through and replace with stainless Bolt and Nut. Anyway, I don't know why your BJs are not seating all the way in.
  6. Subruise is rep'ing the Subaru Alliance out in Washington! Right on. His '91 Loyale:
  7. RV (Subruise) is rep'in the Subaru Alliance out in Washington! Way to go dude!
  8. This is cool! http://www.macworld.co.uk/ipad-iphone/news/?newsid=3352317
  9. A sidways Inline motor is sure easier to work on then a sideways V style motor. GM 3600 for instance, you need to undo the motor mounts and pitch the engine forward to access the rear plugs. BS...!
  10. Rotors can indeed make noises, most of them cause a vibration during the noise though. I drove a 2003 L.L.Bean Outback with rear knocking under moderate braking, you could also feel it in the seat and steering wheel as well as the brake pedal. Under hard braking it wasn't very noticable as you are appling a way greater force to the pads. Another test you can do to check wheel bearings is to lightly swerve side to side, and see which way the noise gets louder. For instance, if you had a bad driver side wheel bearing, if you were to swerve right, the noise would become less, as you are putting an inward stress on that wheel bearing. If you were to swerve left, you are putting an outward stress onto that wheel bearing making it louder. Maybe some of this will help you determain if it is a wheel bearing and which side it is.
  11. Yes, probably a wheel bearing. When you apply the brake, it is putting more pressure on the bearing which makes it change tone. If you want to check it out more, jack the car up and pull on each wheel, and see if any of them have play/slop in them (It will be obvious) Cheers, -Tom
  12. lol.... That would be most of what NASIOC is, look at any, and I mean ANY thread. Its all the same Scott, when you did your 5spd swap, did you swap Driveshafts? I thought the Auto driveshaft was different then the Manual (Maybe I'm thinking only of the Crossmember) If anyone has an extra EA82 AT driveshaft, I'll take it. I've noticed this weird moaning around 25mph in the EA82, I've check wheel bearings, Axles, Axle stub bearings and the Carrier bearing. Nothing seems to have play in them. Its most noticeable right around 25mph, it is not the Transmission, its the same whether its in 2nd or 3rd gear, Neutral and coasting the noise is still there. I've got to think it is the Bighorns, perhaps how they are wearing. I swapped the fronts to the back last year as the sides were getting a little rounded in the front dude to Camber. So I dunno. I wish I had another set of tires/wheels to toss on the car, drive it around the block and see if the noise is gone. (Scott, give me your Grabbers for 20min) I don't want to drive the EA82 to MI if I having a failing bearings somewhere. How often do the diff bearings fail? All my gear oil is fresh and clean as are all fluids.
  13. Yep, both diffs should have the same ratio. As for Legacy ratios, '95-'99 5spd Legacy L had 3.9 gears
  14. The swampers will not fit a stock Brat. You may be able to clear them with a 2" lift and some trimming.

  15. I'm not looking into getting a portal media blaster, I think this will be a better way to clean rusted parts and prep them for recoat.
  16. I have never used any type of Media blaster, so, how quickly do you go thru Sand, Beads, ect? I just imagine Sand pouring out lol. Suppose I should look it up on youtube.
  17. Hmm.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Portable-Air-Sandblaster-Gun-Tools-Blaster-Gravity-Feed-/290548637148?pt=Sanders_Sandblasters&hash=item43a60c5ddc#ht_2218wt_871
  18. I really need to invest in a Sand Blaster, sure beats wire wheeling all my parts. I wonder how plastic beads would have done vs Sand?
  19. LMAO! You go man, you go! The stuff looks good recoated. Did you blast them? I suppose they weren't all that rusty to begin with..?
