  1. i thought it was, but its cheaper than the Stage 1 clutch kit by $9.00 i really want to upgrade yes, since my clutch need replaced anyway, and want a light weight flywheel. i thought flywheels are the same. Hows this one ? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/F1-RACING-STAGE-1-STREET-CLUTCH-KIT-CHROMOLY-FLYWHEEL-/150503247856?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3ASubaru|Model%3ALegacy&hash=item230ab14ff0
  2. enough said, i think I'll stay with the stock 2.2L and do little mods. greatly appreciate the Info. - also my legacy needs a clutch and i thought about getting this for my Legacy http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/F1-RACING-STAGE-2-STREET-CLUTCH-KIT-CHROMOLY-FLYWHEEL-/400181888268?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3ASubaru&hash=item5d2cb3050c is it compatible with my 2.2 L ? the compatibility sais its not, but aren't all flywheels the same ? Edit: Legacy's first MOD
  3. ok, good to know. so is it really worth the effort ? i mean do all that work then engines done after a few rounds. yes if you do a dyno show us your results, i'm very interested in seeing the result.
  4. now that i know about it, i have done some search. i can imagine it will be more reliable than stock 25d. found that the user "A DOG " has done it. I'm very intrigued by this creation, could i simply buy a good 2.5L and slap on my 2.2L heads or is the rebuild required ? i see it requires the Gaskets of the 25d. i couldnt find a # for the HP the frankenmotor puts out. any one know ?
  5. so put 2.2L heads on a 2.5 L ? will gain more HP than a stock 2.5 ? i thought for sure you'd lose power. any issues of putting 2.2L heads on a 2.5 ?
  6. if it was an automatic, i would have passed on it, knowing the issues i had with my gray auto legacy. i plan on changing the air box to cone again like i did the last legacy. i to love the Outback Strut Lift, i don't have to worry about scraping the front in steep Driveways. i want 12" clearance but will settle for 11" i did however get 10 1/2" on the previous Legacy, oh man that was SweeeeT !
  7. i wont change it. like i said i was only curious about it. i can get more HP out of the 2.2L in other ways this 2.2L is quiet, runs great, and doesn't use much oil 178.663 Miles on it. More HP: Air Cone K&N Ram Air Lightweight Crank Pulley (not under drive pulley) is there any other mods to gain HP ? let me know thanks
  8. thanks guys i really enjoy the legacy, the inside was horrible sticky console, stains galore, had bad odor, very dirty. i felt bad for this legacy once i got in it, it was just sad how horrible it was treated inside. i have cleaned it up, put new tires on and XT6 Rims in these pictures it is washed, waxed and wheels changed. here is the worst parts of the legacy. i'm not eager to get rid of the 2.2L, it runs great and great on gas just want more power. i was only curios about an EJ25 being put in an older legacy.
  9. if i wanted to. could i put a 2.5L in ? if so what better year of EJ25 ? i know all the issues with the 2.5L and know theirs a better ones out there. just don't know what year/model of subaru its in. please let me know guys.
  10. just got today my 1993 Subaru Legacy L 2.2L 16 Valve AWD 5 Speed Pictures: All my old Legacy Plans are being moved over to this one. so i gotta find outback struts again
  11. I Still haven't Seen Snow this Year. half way threw November and no Snow i love driving in Snow.
  12. i haven't laied a tool on her for several months now. all i did was move her across the field once more Pics: I did find 2 Loyale's near by for parts, but i have no Money to buy them
  13. i would have done it with something more advanced than a Nintendo NES..... SUPER NINTENDO !
  14. have to be a generous price. $2,500 or more I'd say BYE ! but doubt I'll get that
  15. i am gonna keep it. i wont let them take it away. if they try they'll have to fight.
  16. i will fix him and yes i will get them for every penny possible.what ever is left i get to keep and may buy another subaru
  17. got estimate from Dynamics auto body. $3,074.95 i wont let them take my xt6. i do have an option to buy it back if i wanted to. if they total my xt6 all they will do is crush it. i wont allow it. from what i understand if i decide to keep the car I'll only get half the repairs or what ever the car is worth. Still drivable and totally fixable. In the Estimate: Scubert's Front is Bent from Impact  its in the Estimates :|
  18. i am aware of that. i plan on fixing him myself. i just have to get estimate of repairs so i can get the whatever amount to fix him. my mothers has been threw this with her 77 chevy nova. she let it go and got $2,700 for it. Just got the Estimate. $2,882.75 of repair and Parts Not Available this is from J & V Visions Collision repair hate to see what Dynamics Auto Body is gonna be.
  19. Front bumper cover is probably all I'll need. not sure yet tho i cannot repair scubert till i get the check for the repairs. my father works at Dynamics Auto body. he said it looks like the front is pushed over to the right causing the other fender to dent. if so straightening the front alone will run $1,500 they better not say scubert is totaled. i wont let them take him. I'm still driving him and took him to 2 shops for estimates. when i get estimates I'll let you all know what happens. -John
  20. i have to get an estimate on damage repairs and send it to my insurance company so they can fax it into the other guys insurance. the hood isn't really that bad. luckily the hinge was already broken (they don't need to know that :-p), the hood popped up on impact so it survived with out a scratch. no i think the cowl is fine. needs replaced for sure: Turn signal Bumper Headlight Cover (i have one actually) Fog Light might be savable: Fenders Headlight
  21. just got in an accident with scubert. I'm fine and so is the other guy. he admitted it was his fault and he was driving Time Warner Truck. the idiot drove out from the stop sign. and i slammed on scuberts brakes. here is pics of scubert's Damage: i cannot believe my baby boy is hit.
  22. found the problem. it was that infamous little black engage wire on the starter. wasn't getting good enough connection. is there away to prevent this from happening again ?
